The old coach House is a few minutes walk from the centre of Tintern on the banks of the river Wye, where you'll find the famous abbey, as well as places to eat and drink, and shops selling local crafts.
The Wye Valley Walk passes the house, and the hourly bus between Chepstow and Monmouth stops just metres away.
Staying at the historic Old Coach House in Tintern, you'll experience the unique charm of an early 1800s Welsh cottage, while enjoying modern comforts in a stylish and homely setting.

The space
The Old Coach House is a historic oak-beamed cottage set in the stunning Wye Valley, sleeping up to five guests.
There are two double bedrooms, one with a Juliette balcony, and one with an additional single bed, and a bathroom including shower upstairs. The first floor is accessed via a spiral staircase.
Downstairs there is an open plan living and dining area with a wood burner (logs can be purchased during your stay), and a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a microwave, hob, oven, toaster, kettle, coffee percolator, dishwasher, washer/ dryer, fridge with freezer compartment, and all the pots, pans and utensils you could possibly need!
The lounge/dinner has two sofas, and a dinning table to accommodate five guests. We provide a range of games and books, as well as plenty of ideas for your stay.
With one exception all windows afford views of the river and the hills, there is an old building on the opposite side of the road but we are still blessed with wonderful views despite this.
The enclosed courtyard garden has a balcony offering wonderful views of the river and surrounding countryside, tables and chairs to enjoy sitting outdoors, and a BBQ, we have BBQ tools, trays, and outdoor wine glasses in the kitchen.
Children are welcome, but must be your responsibility at all times. We have a high chair (please request when booking), but please bring all other equipment for your baby/ toddler that you may need with you.
We do not accept any pets.
There is an open tread spiral staircase with stairgates, so its up to you to decide if this is safe for you. Also note the property is accessed via a short steep sloped driveway leading from the road.
Two parking spaces are provided opposite the property, on the other side of the road but not on the driveway which belongs to our neighbours.
If you are visiting us with an electric vehicle there are charging stations nearby in Chepstow and Monmouth, as our parking spaces are on the opposite side of the road, charging from the house is not possible.
