Every detail - from the original fireplaces to the lime-washed bedroom walls - has been chosen to make you feel genuinely at ease, not just comfortable.
The space
THE SPACE
The living room centers around a plush velvet green sofa - the kind you sink into with a book and don't leave. Original fireplaces, fluted paneling, stone countertops, and collected pieces from near and far give the space a layered, lived-in quality that feels earned rather than staged.
The bedroom is a genuinely restful place: warm brick, original hardwood floors, lime-washed walls, and linen curtains framing a king-size bed that guests have called out by name in their reviews. The renovated bathroom carries the same considered touch - blue toile wallpaper, brass fixtures, and a calm that encourages a long shower.
The kitchen is fully stocked and built around a cozy table for two, with a retro refrigerator and everything you'd actually need. Start your mornings here, then take your coffee to the back deck overlooking a shady courtyard - one of the quiet pleasures of the stay.

You're sitting at the seam of two of Louisville's most interesting neighborhoods. Butchertown has the bones - historic, quiet, residential - while NuLu brings the energy: galleries, restaurants, boutiques, distilleries, and bars, most of them walkable. Several of the best patios in the city are steps from the back door, and you'll sleep peacefully despite being in the middle of it all. (A sound machine helps too.)
