This summer our whole house is available for renting out.
Groningen is a lively city with an old city centre. The city is perfect for shopping and relaxing. It´s got good restaurants and 3 cinemas.
The area aroud Groningen has got a couple of surpising attractions. The islands Schiermonnikoog and Borkum (Germany) are easy to visit for a daytrip. A beautiful zoo is at 50 minutes car drive and several nature parks are at 30-45 minutes drive.
We live in an old school, built in 1927. It's situated in an old neighbourhood of Groningen and near an beautiful old park. The city centre is 5 minutes by bike. We have got a garden facing south and 2 roof terraces.
In total we can facilitate a maximum of 10 people. 4 can sleep in our guest room. The rest in our bedrooms. We have 2 bathrooms. You can make use of our bikes.
2 cars can be parked on our drive and you can make of our bikes. 6 adult bikes and 3 kids bikes. A supermarket is at 200 metres.
We found this a very spacious and comfortable family home in quiet location near park and city centre. The house is well appointed for adults as well as children, including bicycles! We received a friendly welcome from the neighbour and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Groningen is a lively town with lots to see and do, as well as providing a good base for trips into the surrounding country side. Corresponding with Bas was easy, responses were always prompt and informative. They even left us fresh apple pie for our arrival. We loved our stay here and have no hesitation in recommending it to others!
The house was perfect. It was clean, big and it was very nice to spend a week in it.
Bas and his neighbor Kor, who showed us the house and answered our questions, were very polite and friendly.
We had a lot of fun with the X-box and Lets Dance :)
We were happy to stay at Bas'and Jo's home for 2 nights with a group of 9 and it was more than perfect. The house and the garden were beautiful. The kitchen was well eqipped and the rooms were lovely. Bas was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as his neighbour who gave us the key. We would love to come again!
This is a truly amazing house. It's an old school so there is so much room and the building has lots of character, its also very practical and comfortable. Our children played all day with all the toys and loved feeding the chickens. We were able to use their bikes and (re)explore Groningen. It's a 5 minute walk to a park and a 5 minute bike ride to the center of town. We would highly recommend staying here.
