A very nice place to stay with huge rooms, nice breakfest, pool and a friendly house staff! The beach is situated just around the corner, only 2 minutes to go! The hostlady was always cared about us and helped us in any case. Actually we booked only 2 nights, but at the end we stayed there for a week which is really expressiv, would I say!
We are 2 sisters with little baby girl 2.10y.o. It was our first time in Sri Lanka, we chosen Mirissa and it was right decision. The beach and the ocean are amazing. One of the best in Sri Lanka. Handagedara is quite clean and nice place to stay. But I recommend to live in separate building, not in the main one. We lived for 2 nights near the lobby with baby, we couldn't sleep at night. It was too loud. The room was very dark and damp with lots of mosquitos and flies and huge cockroaches. In two days we moved to separate building and it was perfect. The kitchen is not so good as you can see it in the pictures. Yes, it has all stuff you need, but it's terrible dirty. Anyway we washed crockery and made smoothies and pasta. We fall in love with Handagedara. The host is very kind woman. I would reccomend Handagedara to my friends
We had a great time at Handagedara. The host and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was nice and we were happy with the room. There was a bit of work going on just next door to our room so some sections of the property were a bit messy, but we would def recommend this place.
My daughters and I had a lovely 3 day stay here. The place was very comfortable and the beach a few minutes walk away. Everyone was very friendly and helpful - the owner is a lovely lady and her staff are all charming and smiley. They helped us organise whale-watching, ayurvedic treatment and our onward travel! Highly recommend it. Thanks for everything.
Our best stay in Sri lanka, may be one of the best ever. Lovely staff and the cleanest room we've seen!
My Dears! :) Thank you so much for being that kind, responsive and positive guys as you are. It was a real pleasure to stay with you! . Villa is just like on photos having it's own spirit. Rooms and resting area is clean and comfortable. There is a big garden where you can see wild peacocks and ground squirrels. And a dog who never barks :).
Breakfasts are plain, but more than enough to start a new day. Good location - Mirissa beach, bus-stop are just 7-10 mins walk. I stronly recommend everybody who is in search to choose Handagedara resort.
