This isn't just a place to stay it is an experience. This is one room of three rooms in a large clean home from 1910 dedicated to hosting guests. This stay is unique in all seasons. Walk the garden, read, walk down to the river, take the bike across the river to bird watch on the ferry, Visit with other guests, Paint, Play cornhole, cards, games, or sit and listen to music. float the river. Warm up by the wood stove. ** the hot tub is off limits as of April/2024** sorry

The courtyard is shared with all guests of the property. It has tables and chairs in a shaded gravel area. Plenty of room to enjoy yourself. Music sometimes played in the courtyard

This is the pink building near the SE corner of the property. Please respect their privacy and do not go past the arch, it is Available to rent on Airbnb

Carriage House
Now that it no longer for Horse's & Buggy’s The Carriage House has its own entrance and the door next to the pizza oven on your left says private, please do not enter.

During your stay
Your stay should feel like a retreat. Come and go as you’d like 24 hours a day. After 10pm please be careful not to disturb other guests on the property. Please practice respect and kindness throughout your stay.

The neighbors have two cats, and if you are a cat person and are out and about in the courtyard, they will most likely come find you. the black and white ones name is Beau and the tabby one is George. They are very sweet and very, very friendly they will try to follow you inside the Buena Vista house at times ; sometimes people let them in and stay with them and if that does happen, please contact us so we can let the neighbors know!

Other things to note
Please carpool & sorry, no pets are allowed at this time. If you see animal things inside it’s the hosts they have Dogs that come to work with them on occasion.

Buena Vista for the win! Fun fact, it was considered as a potential site for the new state capitol in the 1850’s Buena Vista and Independence have a rich history important to Oregon culture.
Buena Vista House Garden-An acre of kept garden and grass to unwind. Practice yoga, nap, read or swing in the hammock. Winter build a small bon fire outside, snuggle up to the wood fired stove inside, sip on warm tea, or veg out with your private TV in your room.
Willamette River-Kayak/float/canoe to Independence, bike ride the hop fields, visit countless vineyards, jump on the historic Buena Vista Ferry,
