The Space

We call this the Rooster Room. This is a nice size bedroom with a lot of light. The room has a full-size cozy bed, very large closet and a private bath across the hall. A built-in office area with turbo charged wifi makes this the perfect room for a few nights or a few weeks. The room is on the second floor of our 3-bedroom town-home. Very quiet and welcoming.

We are very attentive hosts and try our best to accommodate your schedule or special needs. Help yourself to our breakfast cereals, breads, fruit, and coffee/tea in the morning on your own schedule. We sometimes have group dinner nights, and on occasion cook together with our guests while sharing local info and travel experiences. We have a laundry room on the second floor that you can use.

The Rooster Room and in-fact the entire home is filled with original art. The hosts are in the creative industry and very active in the community so usually they have some kind of event or film project going on.

Cyn is a local artist and she usually has a few things for sale. Wearables, paintings, postcards, fun products, all designed by Cyn. Feel free to browse the items and if inclined to purchase, please do! And know you are supporting a local indie artist.

  • I stayed 4 weeks in Raleigh based in the Cyn House, and it was a marvelous experience! The house is really cozy and easily appropriate place. Breakfast are perfect, kitchen is very convenient, and all of the house is so comfortable. This is exactly like pictures.
I went in Raleigh for my work and the house allowed me to do this when I wanted. Walking distance to coffee and other shops, some parks, to the bus to downtown. Driving is a necessity if you want to go to other places as I did. And the place is very accessible by car, closed to several highways or main roads.
Cyn, Larry and Irma welcomed me with kindness, generosity, interest, and I'm really greatful to them for all they were making me discover some "secret" (for a foreigner) aspects of Raleigh. I was reluctant to come to Raleigh, but I enjoyed so much my staying here with them and it is both a good memory and a step forward in my work.
Finally a very nice place to stay for every time in the Triangle ! Sure, I will come back here for my next staying !

  • Cyn and her fam (especially her mom Irma) was a delight. They welcomed me and my guest with open arms. We really felt like we were in a luxury suite. and the shower? fuh-get-about-it...DIVINE! I'd suggest this prime location to anyone!

  • I had a wonderful time at Cyn's apartment. The apartment is located in a safe neighborhood that is close to both shopping as well as the large Ulmsted Park and is a convenient drive to downtown Raleigh. The room also had a desk/shelf that was great for me as I managed to do some late night work after coming back from exploring the town. Cyn, Larry and Irma were wonderful hosts and I would definitely return if I'm back in Raleigh!

  • 2 thumbs (email hidden)ly family fully engaged with the AirBnB experience. Offers the ability to fully immerse with 3 lovely individuals each with unique stories and perspectives. In addition, one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in ages.

Good for any AirBnB user. Best for those who value a real discourse with the host setting.

  • I had a great time staying at Cyn's place! I had a lot of studying to do so I needed quiet, and it was quiet! Really glad I stayed there. Her family is great as well! They treat you like family rather than some random unknown person who is living in their house!

  • My very first airbnb experience. Simply amazing. The room was clean and tidy. Private bathroom was nice. Cyn was helpful and informed me of places to visit while staying in Raleigh. Larry was more than kind to drop me off on the way to his work every morning. Irma was gracious grandma willing to invite me to her delicious food. I enjoyed my time and stay in the company of Cyn & Larry and Irma. If I'm ever back in Raleigh, you can bet that I'll make reservation... right here :)

  • Had a wonderful stay with this family. They really know how to make a person feel welcome.

  • I had the pleasure of staying at both of Cyn's properties in Raleigh. They are lovely. This room in her home is ideal for short to medium term accommodation at an extremely reasonable rate. Cyn's home is located 10min from the city center with a very welcoming atmosphere and the perfect range of amenities. The room itself is comfortable, with a great work-space and fast WiFi. If you're lucky you might overlap with a "Pecha Kucha" night that promotes the sharing of innovative ideas in the area, for which Cyn is the lead organizer!

About
I'm a fun artsy type that likes to travel and meet new people. I am interested in relationships and I invest time and energy into making sure I see my special friends in their home town, mine or in a new destination. I like touring galleries, shops, architecture and finding fun spots to eat, the funkier the better. I'm laid back and love conversation fringing on ideas, thoughts, and world views. I think everyone has an interesting story to tell and I enjoy hearing it told in their own voice. Some of my favorite mottos are: "Life's Uncertain, Eat Dessert First" & "Everything in Moderation."
