Judith & Nansha have a great residence. None of their descriptions are false, it is very convenient to commute via lightrail into the Financial District. I enjoyed my summer at their residence greatly. The hosts have a property manager Conscience who is the point of contact when at the residence and he is helpful when needed. All in all the space is self sufficient, there was no interruptions or collisions in my near 3 month stay.
All good...nice atmosphere, clean room and pretty new. Will be there again
I didn't even stay at the place because of the inconveniences. I didn't get my money back even though I spoke with the host (which I never saw) and again I didn't even spend one night at this location. Overall, make sure you see where it is you're staying before you decide to stay at this place.
Fue la primera vez que visitaba Nueva York y sentía un poco de miedo por que no conocía la ciudad. Nansha ayudo mucho, me indicó donde hacer el mercado, donde tomar el bus y esto hizo mi estancia mucho más fácil.
overall my experience was good. I did not spend too much in the room since I was working most of the time. I really liked the fact that the room has private bath and TV. The room was clean. the bottom line this room served my need for the price i payed for.
Judith and Etiane are wonderful hosts. Etiane really goes the extra mile and is on site to help with anything and everything. The neighborhood was perfect for easy parking and public transportation. I loved having my own bathroom! It was a treat to stay and I hope to return.
This was really an ideal place for me. There is so much space in Judith's apartments! It was great to be in Jersey City and still have a huge kitchen, living room, a back deck, plenty of parking, and a private bathroom. I was working in downtown Manhattan, so the commute was about 40 min, and a bit harder for midtown and other areas, but I didn't mind because the JC light rail is so nice and because this place is so far west, it was easy to get out of JC (by car or bus) to other areas of NJ (beach, etc) or Newark airport. It was also close to Liberty State Park/Ellis and Liberty Island which are beautiful.
The area is not the "trendy" new part of JC, and it was a little frustrating to have to travel to other areas for shopping and restaurants, but it was worth the peace and quiet. The neighborhood is just full of families and kids with very little traffic. I felt safe, especially being on the third floor. The only downside was a neighbor's dog that barked all night every night, but a room toward the front of the apt or earplugs could avoid that.
Etienne, Judith's friend who hosted, was very helpful and generous, though he does have his hands full with the number of people coming and going. The place has a way of bringing together kind and interesting people from all over the world. I never had any issues with my roommates.
It was also generally kept very clean and was like an oasis compared to the dirty city outside. I always looked forward to coming home after a long hot day in NY. It's a great place to stay, and I would totally do it again.
