Free Wi-Fi, smart TV, air conditioning - sleeps 7 comfortably, 3BR, 1 bath; living room, den. Located on 16 acres Free parking with 2 carports and gravel lots; Fire pit, all-purpose room, outdoor space... Pets welcome with prior approval $40 fee. cohost Jamie Powers

The space
- very private location, woods are out back
- main entrance is to the right of the home; code will be sent for the lockbox - we always used the kitchen entrance
- all-purpose room has a large table and is great for crafting, art projects, games, etc
- large outdoor area with basketball hoop, bales of straw for archery targets, a pond near the fire pit - pond has been low this year; plenty of wood down - bring your axe if you want to chop more
- 2 carports - at the lower parking and in back of the house;
- kitchen towels, detergents will be provided
- bath has soaps, body wash, hand sanitizers, first aid supplies
- bring sheets, wash cloths, and bath towels
- plenty of bed pillows to choose from; blankets available for use yet you may choose to bring your own bedding
- security camera is set up for residents to see who is in the driveways - 2 cameras are out - they are not monitored except inside the home
- you will see security devices on doors - they were motion detectors for our mom; they are currently not operating
- large yard and lot; beautiful daylilies lined the driveway, the white azalea was in full-bloom this spring as well as the irises
- well-water - water softener is used, filter is on the kitchen faucet and a filtered pitcher if you want double-filtered water
-outdoor water pump if you need but please do not leave a muddy yard - there's also a utility sink in the basement that guests may use -for vehicles, there's a car wash (still $1) at the bottom of the road across the RR tracks and bridge
- people are friendly here - check out the local eats (left a list in the guest book)
- 16 acres - rough trails can be hiked but we recommend you carry a walking stick, use bug spray (ticks included), and look out for wildlife
-Phones - use your internet phone # at the house but you will get cell phone service as you drive within a few miles; house phone can be used for local calls, for your loved ones to call in, or emergencies
- Outlaw trails nearby, Warrior trail nearby
- Head of the Dragon passes by our home
- Back of the Dragon is less than 25 minutes in Tazewell, Va

This home is privately owned, the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. Be aware of safety precautions - there is a pond and open areas to the stream running through near the firepit and near the lower carport.

The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest or any person with the Guest.

By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Renter agrees that any liability assigned by any court of law shall be limited to the amount of the rental contract.

I grew up in a small town in southern WV and lived in northcentral WV until 2016. My husband and I moved to NC, I couldn't take another winter of snow. Then as we all know, God has a sense of humor, we had 10 inches the first winter here. Our family wants to keep our childhood home that holds many memories of grandparents that lived across the road, friends, family, and neighbors that visited often; gathering with siblings and our children who grew to love the area. That was the deciding decision for hosting the airbnb with brothers - Jamie and Troy with help from everyone else.
