We had a beautiful week in august at fuchsia cottage with the family. Conal was a helpful and friendly host. If someone wants to have a comfortable stay in one of the most breathtaking regions of western europe, then thats the place to go. We would without hesitation recommend the cottage with it's view over the widening kenmare bay. A mediterean green and convenient refugium at the edge of the atlantic ocean. The house in traditional furniture with a lot of space to await the next blue sky phase while it's sometimes raining. A very nice, authentic place, very well descripted at the homepage.
This cottage was simply wonderful and far nicer than the photos had led us to believe. The views are quite breath taking and little beach with white sand very charming indeed. The cottage is old and full of character and very cosy. The garden is sheltered from the wind and very established - in fact we were able to sit out in the sun and enjoy our lunch and the great views on one day.
Sitting up in the master bedroom in the morning and seeing the view across the bay the Beara Peninsula is a fabulous start to the day. It was a great place to celebrate my fiancee's big birthday with our family.
The neighbouring village is also very lively and there are spectacular walks at Derrynane ten mintues drive away.
We really can't recommend it enough and hope to be back again in the future.
Conal was a very kind host and took lots of time on the phone to answer questions and make us feel welcome. His driving directions were also fail safe too! It took us 6 hours to get there from Dublin with a few brief breaks.
Go it's one of the best cottages in Ireland!
A lovely little house in Caherdaniel which is a beautiful part of the world. We went in early January and the weather was quite mild considering. We had a family get away with 5 of us and there was plenty of room with space for one more if needed. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get away to a scenic part of Kerry!
