If you'd like to stay in a room as charming as our quaint, historical village, and not spend a small fortune doing it, you have come to the right place! Enjoy the comfort of a private home and its many amenities. Less than a ten minute drive from downtown Milford, yet completely private and quiet. See my other listing at: http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/261835. No matter which room you prefer, you will enjoy a private bathroom, free wi-fi, a full continental breakfast and AC. Enjoy a complimentary beverage on one of our decks in the summer or sitting in front of a fire in the winter. On site parking is available. This is a quiet and peaceful environment, great for a getaway vacation!
Chosen by BUDGET TRAVEL as one of "America's 10 Coolest Small Towns", Milford has become a weekend destination for New Yorkers who love art galleries, antique shops, fine restaurants or just the great outdoors. TRAVEL AND LEISURE magazine was impressed enough to write an article about what you will find when you come to Milford. You can read it for yourself and find out why so many people have fallen in love with Milford by googling TRAVEL & LEISURE + Milford, PA.
You will have access to both front and back decks, the entire downstairs including the kitchen which you may use to store and make your own meals if you choose.
The neighborhood is 4 miles from the center of downtown Milford. It is an easy drive, but not conducive to walking or biking because of a steep, curvy road one must take to get here.
If you are a New York city dweller and don't drive, special accommodations can be made to pick you up at the (nearby) train in Port Jervis, NY or bus stops (Milford, PA). You may also opt to hire a taxi via Pike County Taxi which can be reached at 570-226-TAXI.
This room is listed as having a 2 night minimum stay; you will not be able to make a reservation for one night. However, if you are interested in booking the room for one night during the week (Mon - Thurs nights), and agree to forego the breakfast, I will be happy to change my settings for you. Just contact me so that I can change the settings and you will then be able to book the room.
Please take off your shoes upon entering the front door. Slippers are provided for your convenience. Absolutely no smoking indoors or anywhere on property (Smoke smell tends to travel as much as we wish it wouldn't!) Also, please be courteous to other guests by being as quiet as the time of day calls for. $20 additional for extra (3rd) person per night.

I enjoy meeting new people, traveling to new places and learning about other cultures. I love music, photography, art and dancing. I have done some traveling in my time throughout the USA, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Closer to home, I do have a soft spot New York city as I enjoy theater and its many restaurants - both well worth the hour and a half drive. Nonetheless, my favorite place in summer is right here at home.
