4 bedroom Private Gated Community

Villa - Entire home/apt · Manuel Antonio Estates, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

The Space

Come relax and entertain friends in this charming 3,000 square foot home located in a private, gated community and surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Upstairs, the fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room areas have expansive sliding glass doors that open to a spacious wrap around terrace that overlooks the gardens, rainforest, and pool. Refreshing breezes cool the inside living space. Guests can enjoy the surrounding outdoor nature by lounging in the mosaic, designer pool or relax in the jacuzzi while warming up the BBQ to grill your personal catch-of-the-day. The villa has three large bedrooms, one small bedroom, and two baths (one with a whirlpool), accommodating 8 guests.
Bird and nature lovers will be enthralled by the diversity of tropical birds and other exotic animals. The Mot Mot house is visited by three species of monkeys: the Titi is one of the most endangered animals on earth but is abundant here, the White Faced monkey is one of the most intelligent, and the Howler is distinctive as being the second loudest animal in the world.
Inside, Mot Mot features numerous fine construction details; the interior lighting has been designed to softly draw attention to the many decorative elements, many of which were purchased by the owner on trips to Asia.

  • We had a great stay at the Mot Mot house. The villa is in a great location -- about 10 minutes from the beaches in Manuel Antonio and several great restaurants. Dorit recommended some very good restaurants (we loved Barba Roja) and booked a sunset cruise for us. The kitchen was well equipped, although the fridge did not get very cold. Although only two of the bedrooms had air conditioning, we were able to keep cool between fans and the pool. A four wheel drive vehicle is recommended to access the house, because the drive is very steep! The house could also use a little more lighting -- it got a little dark at night. Definitely visit the national park if you stay here! We also loved deep sea fishing (we were able to cook some of the dorado we caught on the charcoal grill...the propane grill was not functioning).

  • Villa Mot Mot was set in some of the most beautiful property I have ever experienced. The staff was very professional and our entire party felt extremely safe. The only draw back was that the hot tub did not function as one but rather an additional smaller pool.

  • Beautiful home. Perfect for our group of 7. Although not in Manuel Antonio, it was a short 5-10 min drive. Close to the action in Quepos. We were even visited by the local spider monkeys. Highly recommend

  • Dorit was a great host, good communications and great resource. The home was nice but could use a little updating. Having a pool was a nice feature. The main issue was that in the unit we stayed in the air conditioning was in the two main bedrooms and not the two smaller bedrooms.

  • I was a member of a 6 person group that stayed at the Manuel Antonio Estates in Villa Mot Mot for 4 nights in March 2012, and I think it was a great choice. The management arranged two vans to transport my group from San Jose airport back to the villa and in general I found them to be professional and responsive when dealing with our requests. The house was clean and well-furnished. In particular, we all enjoyed the private swimming pool out back. Equally important, the vila was within 20 minutes of all the Quepos and Manuel Antonio activities that my group was interested in.

On the negative side, there is only air conditioning in two bedrooms. This made the common areas and the other two bedrooms quite uncomfortable during portions of our trip. Likewise, the walk from the front gate to Villa Mot Mot includes two pretty steep hills. This would present problems for disabled guests or anyone with mobility issues.

All things considered, me and my family enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Estates to anyone traveling to the Quepos/Manuel Antonio Area.

  • We ended up getting upgraded once we arrived to a larger home within Manuel Antonio Estates with an amazing view. All the homes looked very nice and have their own pools, which is perfect for a morning dip. Having a car was great at this location, because we were easily able to drive to the national park, beach, and other places without hassle. It is not walking distance to Manuel Antonio or beaches, but they did say they could arrange for taxi if necessary. We did find that the walk to Quepos town was very easy and there were quite a few great restaurants in the town. We also felt very safe because, in addition to the community being gated, a guard was stationed on our street every night. Great place!

  • We had a wonderful time. Stayed with you three nites and four days. There were 8 of us adults and we found that your kitchen, bedroom and bathrooms were very clean and very well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and we would certainly stay there again. Some of us used the swimming pool, and it was such a delight to see the Pool man maintain it every morning. The domestic help was extremely nice and efficient. Thank you so much it was a great experience. The furnishings at Mott Mott were quite nice and interesting. Would highly recommend it. We were able to see the monkeys once a day - did not feed them, but they would come by and visit for a short time anyway. Iguanas were seen too. FUN FUN. The Steve Felty Family = Nico and Nicole Felty Leone, Jose Antonio and wife Alma Rodriguez, Anabelle Rodriguez and Steve and Maricela Felty. THAN YOU!!
