Guest access
Access to Abercrombie Ridge is via the main gate off Taralga Road.
Guests are required to check-in at 'The Quarter's where you'll then be introduced to your accommodation.
Once on Property, Guests have full access to the entire house, separate Games Room, surrounding gardens and the broader Property for bushwalking.

Other things to note
THE COUNTRY IS NOT LIKE THE CITY
When living in the city, we can sometimes take for granted that 'things just work'! In the country, sometimes things 'don't work'.
Satellite internet can sometimes drop out; electricity can sometimes drop in and out, or fail altogether.

UNEXPECTED POWER OUTAGES
Although the power to the Property is stable, we do get power outages from time to time. Because of our location and elevation, sometimes storms can be severe and the weather can turn very quickly.
If there are prolonged power outages, we do have a generator to power the fridge and water pump until the power supply is restored. Power outages are rare but do sometimes happen, so it's essential that you just go with the flow and enjoy the experience.
We will do everything we can to minimise the disruption to your stay.

DO WE HAVE AIR CONDITIONING
Abercrombie Ridge is fully air-conditioned to help keep you cool in the summer months.
Again, power is limited, so please only use air-conditioning when the windows and doors are closed and you're actually in the house.
Ample wood is provided for each stay for the inside fireplace in the cooler months.
Outdoor wood is supplied for firepit use - please do NOT use the inside wood in the outdoor firepit!

OUR OUTDOOR FIREPIT
The outdoor fire pit can also be used with the owners' permission and weather permitting.
During the Summer months, the fire pit cannot be used as we are located in a bushfire prone area.
Please always ask permission before lighting an outdoor fire.

I am one of a recently married couple and we've been together for 16 years and we have a lovely country getaway. It's our own special piece of paradise. Over the last 7 years since we've owned the property, we've poured our hearts, our time, blood, sweat and tears into renovating it and getting to a place where we, our friends and others can enjoy.

ANY ISSUES OR QUESTIONS:
If you have any issues accessing the house, or you find a breakage or something that you're not comfortable with, please ensure you highlight this to the owners WITHIN the first 24 hours of your stay. Any breakages found after your stay if they are not reported will be considered as a breakage you have caused.

WHEN WILL YOU SEE US
You'll typically only see us at check-in and as part of your introduction where you'll be directed to your accommodation.
Whilst we do live on-site, we like to think of ourselves as those people that are not seen, nor heard and that are there just in case something happens.
Because the Property is so large, for most cases, you'll never even know we're on-site. We're available to answer any questions you might have, to help light the fireplace, or tell you where to go bush-walking.
We live in The Quarters, which is a separate cottage away from the two dwellings, and we too like to keep to ourselves.
We're happy to assist with your check-in and introduce you to your accommodation, and then we will leave you to enjoy your time on the Property.

WE HAVE PETS ON-SITE
We do have domestic pets (Maddy, a Silky Terrier and Kyle, a Jack Russell and a Cat named Minx), they are old (around 15 years old), so we do ask that you drive slowly past The Quarters or whilst on the Property. They are adorable, and you might be lucky enough to get a cheeky cuddle from one of them.
