Pete and Peggy were fantastic!
Not only was the property great, but they add so many additional and personal touches that the overall experience is something to remember.
If you're planning a trip to this area - you should definitely stay here.
My boyfriend and I had such an incredible experience staying at the yurt! Pete and Peg were so kind and welcoming, and had great advice about which parks to visit and where to eat in Big Sur. The yurt was beautifully decorated, complete with a projection screen and an outdoor hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a long day of hiking. Surrounded by a scenic landscape, the yurt was a serene, nature-filled getaway. Thanks again for being such accommodating hosts!
The property was as beautiful as described and Pete & Peg were more accommodating than you can imagine. This is a special place and we had a great night there after driving around Big Sur for the day. Can't wait to hopefully return someday.
We had such a lovely stay! Pete & Peggy thought of everything - great attention to detail. Everything you'd need is there and they're great hosts & very kind people. The yurt is very nicely decorated and the kids had a fun time running around the grass & picking flowers!
We could not have asked for more thoughtful hosts! Pete and Peggy provided everything from guide books to Monterey county hikes to reviews for local restaurants and extra jackets. Their entire property is so beautiful, we actually saw a bunny running across the lawn our first morning! Our whole group is now just yurt-ning to return.
An amazing time! One of the most beautiful and relaxing vacations I have ever had. Peg and Pete are very down to earth, accommodating, and super helpful. The yurt is an experience to remember!! It's the most lavish kind of 'camping' I've ever done! We loved our time with Peg and Pete and will make sure to be back ASAP!
Pete and Peggy are really great, and their attention to detail made or yurt stay one of the best accommodations of our honeymoon. Pete also gave us a tip on a promotion that Uber was running that saved us a lot of money getting around San Francisco. Highly recommended!
My wife, Peggy, and I have lived on this property since 1984 and have never fallen out of love with it. It is the perfect combination of a rural setting yet only 10 minutes away from town. We are outdoor enthusiasts and have many wonderful family memories of not only camping by the river but of backcountry excursions as well. It was on one of these adventures, in Oregon to be exact, that Peg and our two daughters discovered yurts. They rented one at an Oregon State campground and truly loved the experience. Having a yurt on our property has added even more of a sense of serenity and peace to our home. It is with this in mind that we want to share it with others. There's something uniquely appealing and comforting, a feeling of being embraced by the round space and the abundance of natural light that
lends itself to living close to nature. We welcome you to give it a try.
