Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
The second floor suite has two spacious bedrooms each with a queen sized bed. If both beds are required please book as 3 people. There is a kitchenette and a 3 piece bathroom. It has its own entrance.

Located on 100 acres of mixed forest this is the ideal place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Many trails through the forest can be hiked or snow shoed. A 15 acre wetland is ideal for observing wildlife. A natural pond for swimming (au naturel!) is a wonderful way to cool down in summer.

The space
The main room is particularly bright and airy with a desk alcove for writing or computer work.

A second bedroom is now available but will only be rented with the main room, so up to four friends can stay together. You will share the bathroom and kitchenette.

An additional $50 charge applies to the second room. If you are two people but want two separate beds, please book in as three people. If you are four people just book as three people.

During your stay
After showing you the accommodations we will leave you to do your thing. But we will be available to answer any questions you may have, and to provide anything you may have forgotten (if we have it!)

We will point out the trails for hiking, and the pond for swimming. Suits are not required in the pond - your choice.

Other things to note
Cell phone service is spotty at best. Internet is through Starlink, so is pretty good.

There is nowhere nearby to buy groceries, so come prepared! 😊

Neighborhood highlights

This is a rural area! Our nearest neighbour is over a kilometer away and our driveway is 1/2 a kilometer long (so you are assured of privacy!)

15 minutes drive will take you to the public beaches of Commanda Lake, or Wolfe Lake for more extensive swimming. Restaurants are at least 30 minutes drive away, as are grocery stores etc. Major shopping and dining are 50 minutes away in North Bay.

In the spring bugs can be annoying, but we will make The Original Bug Shirt available to you to use during your stay.
