You won't have to give up comfort while "camping". Our glamping tent offers all the amenities you need to feel comfortable while still being immersed in nature. With air conditioning and heat, you can adjust the temperature to suit your needs no matter what the Iowa weather throws your way. Get a good night's sleep in our king-size bed with cozy bedding.
Enjoy the convenience of running water at the nearby sink and shower, which means you won't have to give up cleanliness while camping. Sticky hands from roasting s'mores? No problem!

Wifi and TV are amenities in the tent. If you want to unplug, let us know before checking in and we can turn off the wifi and remove the TV.

This tent is tucked into the trees on the 7 acre property where we live. Our house is out of sight when you're on the campsite. A short walk down a path and you will reach the tent where you will be immersed in the trees.

Since you are in the trees there will always be bugs. Bringing bug spray is a good idea.
If you are staying during the time of year where the temperatures dip below freezing, the water will need to be turned off when temperatures go below freezing. Water will be turned back on once temperatures return to above 32 degrees.

Guest access
You will have the entire campsite to yourself. The site is located in the trees and you cannot see our house from the campsite. It is most likely that either our family or other Airbnb guests will be staying in the house. We ask that you respect the privacy of anyone staying in our house and we will respect your privacy as well.
Other things to note
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $250 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $27 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
Your guest portal includes advertisements with third-party upgrades that you may want to enhance your stay. These upgrades are optional and include:
