Comfy bed for better sleep

The room-darkening shades and extra bedding are loved by guests.
Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our 118 acre property contains mature white pine stands, beautiful pollinator fields, black spruce bog and is home to abundant wildlife. Early Frost Farms is a hobby farm specializing in vegetable growing. Our general store sells canned goods and ice cream treats. We are located right on Mesabi Bike Trail, 17 minutes from Giant's Ridge; 35 min. from Ely and the north shore.

The space
The studio was built new in 2020 and is a cozy, private space that overlooks several acres of pollinator field with the woods as a backdrop. The studio has it's own private entrance accessed at the back of our garage which is detached from the house. The studio is an open floor plan containing the kitchenette, dining table, couch and bed all in one space. There is a separate bathroom.

Guest access
The house and studio cannot be seen from the road. A driveway through mature white pines leads you to the parking area directly in front of the studio.
Guests may park one vehicle near the studio and additional parking is located in a nearby field. The circle drive allows for vehicles towing a boat. The Darwin Meyers Wildlife Management area is within walking distance. Other points of interest are accessible by car.

Other things to note
We are the official Embarrass township cooperative weather observers for the National Weather Service. Your hosts will be taking daily weather measurements and the data we collect is transmitted to the NWS. We would be happy to answer any questions about being a volunteer weather observer.
