In the same street, you will find many food shops, supermarket, pizzerias and cake shop. Look at my AirBnB personal guide book!
It's a cozy apartment. Very clean, just renewed with air conditioning and brand new windows that once close make this aparment even more relaxing after a hard walking day through the streets of Rome!
The apartment is located in the city and any shop you need is there. Supermarket, Pizzerias, Drugstore, fruit shop....
Interaction with Guests
We love people!!!!
El piso está situado en una zona de vida de todos los días de Roma, de manera que podéis encontrar las tiendas que os hagan falta y un supermercado con todos los productos italianos y internacionales.
Very well connected by public transportation.
You have a tram that take you in Piazza Venezia in 20 min. From Trastevere train station you can get to the Vatican in 15 minutes and from my flat you can go to Trastevere just by walking.
Other Things to Note
In some reviews some guests were complaining about the noise. Now a brand new windows have substituted the old ones, making the flat more relaxing and cozy.
Nice appartment, outside the city centre. Pasticceria, fruit/vegetable store, pizzeria and coffee corner all close to the building. Tram-stop (8) walking distance. Living like the romans do. A lot of noises during the day and evening. At night it is pretty quiet but to noisy to keep a window open. You can also hear the neighbours and their flushing well. Not really a problem. There were a lot of spices, tea/coffee for the first morning after arrival. Warm welcome. We were picked up from the airport (eur 35). Would have been nice to hear a little bit more about the neighbourhood and the public transport. All in all we would recommend this appartment.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Marco's flat for 4 nights while visiting Rome.
We were not given instructions about how to reach the apartment and couldn't get past the front gate without a code which wasn't provided. Thankfully, some kind neighbours let us through and we made it to the apartment at the last minute and avoided being charged Marco's late fee. There are 3 gates/doors to pass before getting into the apartment. This does, however, makes the place feel safe, which is great.
Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious size of the apartment and at how it was well equipped with everything we needed and more. It was well maintained and clean, with a comfortable bed. Vivian was very nice and told us about some main attractions and answered all our questions.
All the amenities worked, but adjusting the shower temperature is difficult. I'm sure this is something Marco is looking into, however.
The apartment is situated beside major hospitals, but if you're a heavy sleeper the place is fine.
There is a tram that takes you into the city centre from the apartment, but getting home is time consuming. I would recommend staying here if you are in Rome for at least a week and don't mind spending extra time traveling in and out of the old city.
Also, we recommend taking a taxi to and from the airport which is a maximum of €30. Marco and Vivian charge €35.
Overall this is a very comfortable and spacious apartment, and we would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Rome for 5 days or more.
I am sorry that Melissa in not that skilled in reading and finding the information she was missing. By the way, I will tell AirBnB to improve this visibility, since not all people seem to read the reservation e-mail and the info about the renting. All the info is she complaining about are clearly stated on the confirmation e-mail and on my profile since ever. Melissa thinks that the apartment is far away from the inner city center, but probably she is not used to big cities. Rome is divided into 4-5 rings and my flat in at the border between the 1st and the 2nd. As anyone can read in the other reviews, the flat is very well connected and close to the center. Of course you can stay closer or directly in the inner city center, but in this case you can forget to pay my cheap rate for a whole clean sunny apartment like mine. I would invite Melissa to try next time to be cheaper and get the same quality close to the Coliseum or any other main attraction. About the taxi rate, I will be happy to show anyone the official rate from airports, however anyone is free to do and believe whatever.
I would really invite anyone who is going to stay in my apartment to appreciate the quality/price ratio. I think you cannot expect a luxury apartment in Rome for 50-60€ per night. If you think and you can find a better place than mine for the same rate, I will be happy to offer you a beer. I would like to suggest anyone to don't try spending less and getting more. This is Rome and like Paris or any other famous city you cannot expect to be a cheap person and have an whole perfect apartment for you.
A pleasant stay in Marco apartment. It was clean, well-decorated and spacious. His place is located in a nice neighborhood with good transportation to the city center. Would strongly recommend his apartment to anyone.
Friendly helpful host, flat was easy access from airport only 10mims walk from train station, it was a spacious clean flat. Took us a while to realise but tram 8 from outside train station takes you straight to centre of Rome, so for us was a good balance of location and Just what we needed.
We really enjoyed our stay in Marco's flat. It's a very nice place to come back to after spending a day in the city centre. The flat was clean, well equipped and spacious. The flat is situated in a nice area, and is well connected to the rest of Rome.
Even though we didn't meet Marco in person, he seemed very accommodating and answered our questions quickly.
Great apartment with a full kitchen, balcony, laundry machine, and all! This is an especially good place to stay if you are in Rome for more than a couple nights because of those amenities. The location was not as ideal as I imagined, as you can't really walk to the main commercial district in Trastevere, but it is a very simple and quick bus ride from most of the popular sites in Rome. I also feel like we got a more authentic experience here as opposed to staying in a tourist district. The hot water didn't work while we were there (they did offer to come take a look at that but we didn't bother) and the wifi signal was fairly weak, yet serviceable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others, especially considering the price. It was an outstanding value for what we paid.
The apartment was lovely and as described. Everything worked perfectly. It is easily accessible via the 8 bus and a short walk (about 15 minutes) to Trastevere Station. It took about 20 minutes to get into the center of Rome. The neighborhood is quiet and the people were friendly and helpful. Vivian was very responsive when I had a question. Thanks for a lovely stay!
About the Host, Marco
I have started in AirBnB as a guest and I really enjoy it, that's why I became a host too. Thanks to my mom and my brother collaboration now I can host nice people in my flat in Rome. I think airbnb is a great idea to travel around and meet new people.
I use airbnb for job trips as well as for vacation with my wife.
I always take my camera with me. Photography is my first unprofessional job after work and I really love portraits of people. It's a good way to socialize.
When I travel, I don't like collect places, but I always try to live a little bit of their culture and talk with the people who live there. Of course, it's not always possible but I enjoy to keep trying.
