Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as you like! I'm usually in and out of the flat a lot, and I want guests to feel relaxed and at home; I'm always happy to chat and advise but will also naturally respect your privacy.
The flat is centrally located so perfect for getting to all London's attractions, but the street is quiet and very residential - it feels quite tucked away. It's easy to get to pretty much everywhere, and it's a friendly and diverse urban neighbourhood - with lots of lovely green spaces nearby.
Great public transport links - buses, tube and railway stations all just moments away, hire bike racks across the street - and the flat is a fantastic base for walking too.
There are very few house rules - make yourself at home, and just be generally respectful of the flat.
We just met Karen at our arrival and departure but she was very nice.
Her flat was very well located near the subway and very comfortable.
We have a great we in London thanks to Karen.
We loved staying at Karen's. She is a lovely person and told us great places to go to make the most out of our vacation. The flat is very clean and tidy and the bed is very comfortable. The location is great, getting to the important London sights is easy and only a few stops on the tube. On top of that, Karen provided a lovely breakfast choice for us. Truly recommendable! Thanks a lot.
I had a great stay at Karen's flat. Everything was very convenient and easy. The location was perfect, a short walk to the Underground, and then only a few minutes to my meetings near Waterloo and Westminster. Given my busy schedule (out very early in the morning, back quite late), I actually only saw Karen once, but she seemed quite charming and a great host.
We stayed 3 days over NYE with Karen and had a wonderful time. The apartment is really beautiful and is located 5 minutes walking distance from the subway station Elephant&Castle. The best thing is the great breakfast in the morning - it is perfect to start a busy sightseeing day in London. Karen has a brilliant book collection and is an amzing cook (we felt really spoiled when she made us a home-made banana cake for breakfast).
My little two-day retreat in London @ Karen's chic B&B turned out to be a little metamorphosis for me - her lovely hospitality, the place itself and her live music practice inspired me to finally start writing my book (first chapter!) about my travels and retreat in North Wales. So my little big book has started to get some "wings" and is getting ready for take-off into a great future and into the hands of many readers. I'm very grateful to have "bumped" into Karen thanx to Airbnb. Talking about bumping: I discovered the nearby "Tibetan Peace Garden" which is - simply said - a BLISS!
Hello! I was born in London, have been in this flat eleven years, and it is truly the nicest place I've ever lived. I used to travel a lot for work, and always loved finding the stuff the guide books don't tell you. Now I tend to stay home and make the most of this astonishing city - on a budget! I'd be very happy to help you make the most of it too.
