Beautiful studio space available in Austin!
Amenities include: parking; private entrance; full PRIVATE bathroom with shower and towels; kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven and half-size fridge; full-size futon with bedding; queen air mattress for additional guests; free wi-fi; sprung wood floors;track lighting; mirror; jam box; front garden for chillin'.
Since this room functions as my music room when it's not being rented, it is almost soundproof. Musicians looking for a place to stay where they can practice without worry are welcomed and encouraged to stay here!!
It's directly on the #7 bus route which can take you almost ANYWHERE in Austin, including 6th street and Warehouse districts; University of Texas, Austin; and all the way to Highland Mall in North Austin. I can assist with restaurant recommendations and night life, as well as point you in the direction of yoga and dance classes.
Although I am a dog lover, the studio CANNOT accommodate animals due to the wood floors which are natural, and easily marred by dog claws. But we ARE super kid friendly!!!
Please park your car directly in front of the studio entrance (double wide stained glass doors, right hand parking space as you face the doors).
If you have prepared food, please wash up your dishes with the detergent and sponge provided in the rest room. We provide you with a clean space on arrival, but not maid service during your stay.
You are responsible for emptying your own garbage and recycling if needed (garbage and recycling bins are located just outside the studio doors on the side of the house; Austin practices "single-stream recycling," so please just put all paper, cardboard, plastics, and glass in the large blue bin--gray is for trash).
Laundry detergent and bleach are located on top of the washer, as is extra soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper! Please help yourself.
Wifi router is located on the shelf above the dryer in the laundry room if you need to reset it for any reason, and the breaker box for the studio AND house is to the left of the laundry room door.
If there is anything at all that I can provide you with to make your stay more comfortable, do not hesitate to ask!
Sevylla was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for me and to please let her know if I needed anything. I did have a car and that was helpful to get into town so did not use the bus system which was close by.
There is shopping close by and places to eat but would be a bit to far to walk from what I experienced so better to have a car.
She is a great musician and I was lucky enough to hear her and the group she plays with perform. It was a fun experience to stay in the studio.
This was such a great experience! This was my first airbnb booking and I was so glad it turned out the way it did. The room is exactly what is listed. The room is very spacious and clean. Seveylla is such a personable and passionate individual. She responds to text messages in a timely fashion which I appreciate. The room is connected to the house and you have lots of privacy. Thank you for making my first time in Austin such a fun and comfortable experience!
Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for! Her space was inviting and homey, her accommodations were thoughtful and her friendliness made us feel right at home. We will absolutely be returning to stay here anytime we visit Austin! Central location, quiet and unique.
Had a great experience in Sevylla's studio. Cozy and quiet. Went there to finish writing paper before a few nights out in Austin. Was perfect for this purpose. It's a touch out of town, but cabs via uber were only $8 to soco, while the bus also went from right outside. Would stay again when in town.
We really liked staying in Sevylla's studio--she's very welcoming, the space was large, and its on a quiet street, and has its own private entrance. We were close to our relatives in south Austin, but also reasonably close to the center of town where we went to enjoy an evening of jazz.
This Super Hip private room is just like advertised. It has everything you will need to spend a week or 3 weeks including laundry. I stayed for 1 week and was very comfortable. My flight into Austin was delayed several hours so our plan to meet the first night was messed up BUT this apartment is so well thought out and well managed it was not an issue. The room was ready for me when I arrived at midnight. See you next time Sevylla!
Sevylla has prompt response and great communication. The studio is relaxed and perfect for any traveler. The neighborhood is quite so you can rest well, yet close to the city. I had the chance to chat a bit with her and she is just a vibrant kind person.

I'm a full time professional musician, and founder and teaching artist of the Roots & Rhythms Cultural Arts Program, currently working with at-risk youth thanks to a grant from the city of Austin's Cultural Contracts division and the National Endowment for the Arts. I love playing host to travelers and concert goers.
