The best apartment for enjoy Barcelona!!!
It is located in the best area of Barcelona, in the cross between Passeig de Gracia and Diagonal Avenue, in the Gracia neighbourhood.
Gracia was an independent town a hundred years ago and because of original Barcelona has grown it was integrated to the city like other independent towns (Sants and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi). It keeps its own life style and it is very charming, local people, and bohemian and smart lifestyle.
It is only 1 minute walking to the two main smartes streets in Barcelona (Diagonal street and Passeig de Gracia) where Guadí built La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, the two most amasing houses of Barcelona’s architech.
It is very well communicated by public transport (three metro lines and one local train station) that takes you all around the city.
It is only 10 minutes walking to old town walking down Passeig de Gracia.
Direct bus to beaches in only 10-15 minutes!

Lovely apartment. Great central location, and every thing you need. Very helpful owner.
In short, our experience was so bad, we ultimately decided to move out after 1 month. We were fortunate to use Airbnb who refunded our money and let us move out! Here's the summary (further details below): 1) Lluis Caldentey = owner of ApartEasy/YourStayInBarcelona, a rental company with multiple employees. If you have any issues, it takes days for them to address, and with every call, you have to repeat the problem to a different employee. 2) Apartment was misrepresented in number of bedrooms and bed types. 3) We booked ONE apartment for 4 months - within 1.5 weeks, we moved THREE times. They made us pay for our own cabs. 4) When we addressed our concerns to them, they only replied, "Sorry, we hope your stay gets better." 5) Our problems may have been exacerbated by an extended stay, so it's a gamble to deal with them. Make sure you only book through Airbnb - not directly. The commission is worth it. We're happy to share the documented conversations we've had with them through Airbnb. Below are some other negative reviews. Some people were passionate enough to create a blog. The tripadvisor reviews, positive and negative, also raise suspicion: http://(email hidden)/tag/luis-caldentey/ (website hidden)(phone number hidden)-Do_not_rent_from_ApartEasy_in_Barcelona-Barcelona_(email hidden)ml (website hidden)(phone number hidden)-Anyone_used_aparteasy_com_for_apartment_rentals-Barcelona_(email hidden)ml Details: 1) We get that things happen- maintenance issues, double bookings, etc. But as a rental company, we expect a prompt and attentive response, which we did not receive. Here are a few issues we experienced: a) They double booked our original apartment. They didn't put us into a comparable apartment: we booked a 3 bed/2 bath and were placed into a 1 bed/1 bath. b) The shower drain was clogged. It took 3 days, explaining the situation to 3 different employees, and an apartment change to deal with it. c) The power cut out in the middle of the night and fried our chargers. The power was not resolved for 14 hours. Left a message about it that no one returned. d) There was little hot water in the 3rd apartment. The hot water took 1 week. A discount for rent was refused for all of our issues. 2) We rented a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with "real beds". We were surprised to find the 3rd bedroom to be a narrow office containing a cot. The advertised wifi only worked in the living room. We asked for a fouton/better bed for the office, and were denied. 3) They double booked our apartment, and placed us in a temporary apartment. No big deal. We had to move because of the clogged drain. Ok, no problem. But when moving time came, we had little help moving (luggage for 4 months), and paid for our own taxis. Insane. We're exhausted with trying to deal with them. The apartments they manage range from great to crap, but know that it's a gamble, and if you need something, it will take multiple calls to get a response. Be sure to conduct all your communications through Airbnb, so they can bail you...
Perfect apartment to enjoy Barcelona. Great location.
The host was good. Friendly and willing to help with information regarding grocery store, restaurants and more.
Appartement was very well located, right on Plaza Espanya.
Clean, all new.
Nothing bad to say beside the noise of the big road but that's the downside of the excellent location.
Will recommande it.
While we did book this place originally we ended up having to stay at Legendary Old Town apartment (another property of the owners) so this review is for that apartment. We stayed here for 3 weeks. The apartment is in a great location about 5 minutes walk to the centre of La Ramblas. The place was clean and modern. It was probably a bit small for 3 people after a few weeks but given its location it wasn't a big deal.
Appartement très fonctionnel pour une famille avec enfants.
Le quartier est vraiment très agréable avec beaucoup de restaurants dans la calle verdi.
Plutôt calme même s'il donne sur la plaça del diamant.
Vraiment très très bien
Everything you need to spend a good weekend with your friends: perfect location on the rambla, the perfect cleaning of the flat and a beautiful terrace to chillout after the day in Barcelona!! Highly recommended!
My 2 friends and I stayed in the apartment for a girls' weekend in Barcelona.
It was definitely the lowest priced place in the area that would sleep 3 in separate beds (2 single beds, 1 futon). It is in a great location, right on Las Ramblas in the middle of the action. The rooftop terrace was gorgeous!
Not so positives:
It is basic and rather bare bones, but it suited our purposes fine. We ran out of toilet paper after the first night and had to go buy our own because there weren't any spare rolls in the apartment. Luckily there is a grocery store a couple of doors down. This apartment is managed by a vacation letting agency, so it's a bit different from some of the other places on AirBNB where you're staying in someone's actual home. It kind of runs itself more like a hotel without the benefits of a hotel. For example, initially they were trying to charge an undisclosed late check-in fee, but after emails with AirBNB customer support, it was eventually sorted out. They were also sticklers about check-out time, which meant we were carrying our bags around Barcelona for a few hours on our last day.
Overall, a good experience. I would recommend the place for other groups like ours that are seeking to sleep 3 individuals separately. Probably would stay elsewhere if I was traveling as a couple though.
I had a difficult time finding hosts in Barcelona who actually replied to airbnb inquiries and was relieved to find that Alex was responsive and immediately helpful. We never met him personally, but were assisted by another rental agent, someone who seemed to be the building super, and the cleaning lady at various points. As advertised, the apartment is located directly on La Rambla across from the entrance to La Boqueria. With the windows open it is quite noisy all night long, so we slept with the A/C on and windows closed. There is also a noticeable vibration from the subway at regular intervals. Our unit was slightly different from the one pictured and was on the first floor with a window that opened onto an alley, which made it dark all day long. The kitchen was serviceable: microwave, two burner stove (no oven), mini-fridge and toaster with basic pots and dishware. The apartment was clean with fresh linens and some tourist information. The washing machine and clothesline are located on the roof and each floor of the building was assigned a wash day (with weekends up for grabs). Beware: the elevator to the top floor goes out when it rains. There was a lot of turnover in the building, with groups of European and American tourists passing though, but everyone was respectful of the noise curfews. The internet is unsecured and connectivity was variable - we had trouble (website hidden)ing, but basic email was never a problem. Overall, this is a great central location for sightseeing in Barcelona, but you would probably want more amenities if you were planning on staying longer.
The reservation was canceled 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
