The space
Beautiful renovated 1840's farmhouse located on 900-acre nature preserve and organic farm. This rustic home is within a few miles of Harpers Ferry, WV with easy access to Western Maryland and Northern Virginia (one hour from DC).

This beautiful farmhouse has 5 bedrooms, one king sized bed, 1 room with a queen and a single, 2 rooms with 2 single beds, a private single room, and a small futon for extra sleeping if so desired. There is a large living room and beautiful porches on both upper and lower floors. Fully equipped kitchen and two dining areas make this the perfect home for groups of all sizes.

As the house is situated right on a nature preserve, guests have access to 10 miles of hiking trails which link up to the Appalachian Trail. The trails wrap through beautiful wooded areas, gently rolling hills, and amazing creek access.

Rural setting within minutes of city life of Frederick, MD and Northern Virginia towns, including Purcellville and Leesburg. We are also 8 minutes from beautiful, historic Harpers Ferry, WV. Access to both trails and outdoors and restaurants, theater, etc. Minutes away from many wonderful Virginia wineries.

Will need own transportation. MARC and Amtrak station in Harpers Ferry.

We ask that guests bring their own sheets and towels.

Mountain View Farm is located on-site with seasonal produce and farm-fresh eggs available for purchase (You may also feed the chickens with your kitchen scraps if you please).

Please note that the listed base price does not include the transient occupancy tax (8%) nor Local and General Sales Taxes (6% total).

Finally, this is a mid-19th century farmhouse and it does have its quirks!
