This unique cabin, built in the 1970's, has been recently renovated with modern comforts and Scandinavian style you'll love. Hood Hideaway is styled in a cozy Scandinavian modern aesthetic, blending natural fibers, warm tones and open spaces for a relaxing atmosphere. This well-appointed cabin is near the heart of everything Mt. Hood and the PNW has to offer. Located about an hour from both Portland and Hood River, it’s ideal for one to two families with sleeping space for 8.
INDOOR LIVING
After a day on the mountain, enjoy the spacious interior with recessed cedar ceilings, a beautiful stone fireplace and a steel staircase separating the upper and lower levels. On the lower level, you have the primary bedroom (comfortable king size bed, dresser, leather bench, full length mirror and tv with roku), full bathroom (shower and tub combo), fully stocked kitchen, living room (designer sofa), dining room and seating area. On the upper level, you have two spacious bedrooms (one bedroom has a queen sized bed and twin day bed/ second bedroom has queen bed and twin bunks) and a full bathroom (shower). 1GB WiFi is available throughout the house/deck and you can sign into Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and other streaming service accounts through Rokus on one of the three TVs in the cabin.
KITCHEN SETUP
A full kitchen with everything you need to host a big meal. Hood Hideaway is fully stocked with pots, pans, tea kettle, plates, bowls, cups, mugs, flatware, serving bowls, serving platters, utensils, mixing bowls, baking sheets, pie pan, waffle maker, French press, coffee maker, coffee grinder, chefs’ knives, cutting boards, cork screw, can opener, potato peeler, kitchen shears and so much more. Clean-up is easy with the built-in dishwasher; detergent is provided along with a new sponge for each reservation and there’s an additional dish-rack is kept under the sink. We also provide our guests with complimentary tea, coffee, organic olive oil and salt + pepper.
GENERAL
There are two full bathrooms with plush towels, washcloths, shampoo, soap and hairdryers provided. A laundry room on the lower level has a full sized washer and dryer. The cabin is stocked with an assortment of puzzles and board games. There is a Bose bluetooth speaker available for use by the hot tub and a record player, Marshall speaker and a small vinyl collection there for you to enjoy. A vintage gaming system and a variety of coffee-table books round out the entertainment options.
HEATING
The home is equipped with central heat controlled by a Nest thermostat and a pellet fireplace. Pellets are provided.

OUTDOOR AREAS
Hood Hideaway has multiple outdoor areas for you to enjoy. The back deck features modern patio furniture and a large propane fire table perfect for lounging. A propane bbq is also provided. Stainless steel pints are provided for fireside sipping. Conveniently located a few steps off the back deck is a vintage hot tub surrounded by trees and covered in string lights. Just past the hot tub, you’ll find another area to enjoy outfitted with a second propane fire pit and adirondack chairs; perfect for making memories and roasting smore's. Neighborhood houses are close by, so quiet hours must be observed.
PET POLICY
Up to 2; well behaved dogs may be allowed with an owner conversation and $120 flat fee. If there is excess hair, mud or damage we may need to assess an additional cleaning charge my be charged. Guests are also responsible for the cost of any damages or repairs related to pets. To help prevent this, we’ve provided dog blankets, dog beds and extra towels. We have also provided waste bags, extra dog leashes, and dog bowls. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. Please pick up after your dog and do not leave dogs unattended at any time. If interested in bringing your pets let us know. Thank you for your cooperation with these expectations so we can continue welcoming pets to the cabin.
