About This Listing
Two story , 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment overlooking the mediterranean sea and a 27 hole golf course in a gated community with all the comforts of a beach house, such as barbecue, air conditioning, WIFI and a living room with a VIEW!|
Recent work done to the patio!! 2 floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with small yard in front and back in a gated community on a 27 hole golf course on the Island of Sardinia in Pula (Cagliari nearest airport). This is a beach lover , biker, trekker and golf fanatic's paradise. Our summer home has air conditioning and is inside a gated community where there is a resort hotel, restaurant, swimming pool and golf course. Our house is the last line of houses with only the mountains behind us and a view of the sea in front of us.
Trails for biking or walking in the hills are 2 minutes away.
We are a 5 minute drive from the beach, the archeological ruins of Pula, tennis courts and horseback riding.
We are a 30 minute drive from Chia, where you can find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
I am American and my wife is Italian and we can give you a list of a lot of local things to do. We live in the house all year round so it is a comfortable beach house. There is a very cool barbecue which you can use. I have lived in Sardinia for 20 years and I love showing people the incredible hidden secrets of Sardinia. I am a foodie and fanatic golfer , so lots of suggestions in that area....
The house is incredibly quiet so you will be able to cook with my barbecue or just stay on the terrace and take in the views of the sea or stars in silence.
Since it is a gated community, you have security and that is great if you have kids or if you have valuables you need to leave in the house.
The house includes:
3 single beds
1 queen size bed
1 sofa bed (brand new)
sheets and towels (for home and beach)
fully equipped kitchen
Wifi (you have 1GB for free and then pay €1 per GB)
New mattress for even more comfortable sleeping!
Stereo for cds and radio
In short, when you are not living there, I am, so the house is fully equipped:0)!
You need a car to stay at my place unless you are a serious biker.
You have access to the entire house and can pay for access to the swimming pool at the hotel, golf course, driving range. I have special prices so just let me know if you want to access these facilities. We just finished remodeling the patio and a shady bamboo roof. MUCH more space to read a book, cook or just relax , gazing at the mediterranean sea.
Interaction with Guests
I love helping you make your vacation in this paradise even more special. I love meeting new peope and when things click, I often spend time with guests on the course or over dinner. I love Italy and Sardinia and am convinced that with a small effort on my part, I can help you understand and appreciate this rich and amazing culture that much more.
The town of Pula is a gem, not too big and busy in the summer but big enough where you can experience all sorts of different restaurants, live music, etc.
In the evening you can go sit in the town square and enjoy an apperitivo or a meal with all the locals and or just sip coffee or wine all night long and listen to the sing song language of Italian mothers talking to their children.
You need a car if you are going to stay at my place. it is a 5 minute drive to Pula, 25 minutes to Chia and 35 to Cagliari. I have a parking space which you can use.
Other Things to Note
I have tons of friends and local entrepreneurs that will make your vacation more unbelievable than it already is. This goes from massages , to cooking classes with a local chef or just a day on the golf course with me or with the golf pro , a day on a sail or fishing boat or a walk and meal with a shepherd.
Treat our house as if it were yours!
We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Sardinia. This was our second trip but a different experience as we stayed in a hotel in Pula previously. Jon was a fun and friendly host who did his utmost to make our stay memorable. His flat was charming and well-positioned, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. Jon was always available for any queries and gave us lots of fantastic advice about the area and things to do. He took a lot of time to give us a personal view of Sardinia and we are very grateful for that. This was our first Airbnb experience and if all are as good as that one then we will be very pleased to try it out again!
We had a nice holiday in Jon's small house. It was very quiet and from the terrace you have a wonderful view.
The communication with Jon was very good. He answered immediately on our questions and gave us great recommends for restaurants and things to do around.
Pula is a nice small town with shops, restaurants and many more and there are a lot of beautiful beaches nearby.
Thanks to Jon
A huge thank you to Jon for answering my many questions and helping me plan our trip. It makes such a difference when you are able to speak with a nice person who is understanding of each holiday makers needs. And goes out of their way to help you. Thank You Jon!

About the Host, Jon
I am from Newton, Ma. but I have lived in Sardinia , Italy since 1992. Recently I moved to Berkeley, California to work for a tech company called Industrial Logic. I am an ex ice hockey player, turned golfer, food fanatic and cook.
I am married with 2 sons and a daughter.
I moved to Sardinia in 1992 for my love of the culture and island and am still in love with it. I take great joy in showing people the hidden secrets of this earthly paradise and that goes from a local pizzeria where you can get the best asparagus and gorgonzola pizza to showing you how to get to the right beaches, how to rent a sail boat for a day or how to see and experience one of the best fresh fish markets in the world.
I have been involved in airbnb since the beginning as host and traveller and it has changed my life. I had the opportunity to teach a class at airbnb's first open where I met the founders and a lot of the employees as well as a huge number of airbnb enthusiasts. I manage a group on airbnb called we love sardiinia. Since I am now travelling between Berkeley and Sardinia, I am managing houses for friends in both places. My wife, Cristina, is on the ground in Sardinia and I am mostly in the USA these days. At first airbnb was a way for me to make ends meet with an investment my wife and I had made. Now , it is a way of life, a way to share and to meet people from all over the world.
