  • Michelle and Robert were the best hosts we could have asked for! Their guestroom was very clean and isolated from the rest of the house so plenty of privacy. They really went above and beyond as hosts and couldn't have asked for a better experience of Newport. I would definitely recommend their home to anyone visiting Newport.

  • Trinity School House was a great find in Newport! Robert and Michelle are wonderful hosts, and their home is so comfy and welcoming! Our room had a private bathroom, well basically an enitre little private section of the house. The house is in a great walkable location to everything, too. They have a nice sunroom with snacks and drinks that you can have whenever, and the breakfast sandwiches were great! I will definitely recommend TSH for anyone heading to Newport, and would certainly return!

  • Great experience! I searched for a place to stay for a few days but once I found Trinity school house online, I knew from the pictures and reviews that I would rather stay there than somewhere right on the beach, and I am glad I did! Robert and Michelle were genuine and really easy-going. We felt very comfortable and the environment was really great too. The school house has a lot of character and everything was really cool, from the lamps to the furniture! Really great environment. We definitely plan to stay there again because there was so much to explore in Newport; we couldn't do it all in 2 days. Also, beach and shops were all short bike rides and nice walks. I can't wait to go back :)

Look forward to seeing y again!

  • The descriptions, photos and reviews I read before arriving created high expectations for our stay - but Bob and Michelle exceeded all of them with their hospitality, attention to detail, decorating style, breakfast offerings and concern for our comfort and enjoyment. The bedrooms are well equipped and comfy, the garden room inviting and serene. Perfectly located between Thames St & Bellevue Ave it makes for a great base camp for enjoying this beautiful city. The Trinity Schoolhouse is warmly recommended as a go-to B&B in Newport.

  • Trinity School House is a little slice of Newport heaven!
Bob and Michelle are perfect hosts. They are not only warm and inviting, but incredibly thoughtful when it comes to making their guests feel instantly at home.
The house is absolutely lovely and centrally located to major attractions, from the beach to the notorious Bellevue mansions. We parked at the house and were able to walk all around Newport, which was admittedly ambitious - next time, we'll take the owners up on borrowing their bikes! :)
Overall, we had a great time and appreciate the warmth extended to us by Bob and Michelle. Thank you for a wonderful visit!!!

  • The room was clean, comfortable and private.
We were there end of summer and the a/c unit was nice.
    The room rate was excellent.

Everything was very well thought out and we felt very well taken care of: breakfast was waiting for us every morning, freshly steamed towels every time we left the room, free wifi, even chocolates in a dish on the night stand.

Robert and Michelle were very accommodating, thoughtful and welcoming; and at the same time unobtrusive.
They even came out to help us park when we arrived (they have guest passes for street parking).

Historic building and location. Easy walking distance to downtown Newport.
This home was previously a schoolhouse and a church; and the main room is very striking.

We will definitely be back, and already recommended to some local friends for when they have guests.

  • Robert and Michelle were amazing hosts. The location of the Trinity School House was perfect for exploring and they were both very helpful with their suggestions. We were in town for a wedding and Michelle was sweet enough to drive us to the reception. The room itself was gorgeous and very tasteful. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are down in Newport. Thank you for everything!

  • We could not have been happier with our stay at Trinity School House. We were in town for a wedding and from value to character, this was a much better option than area hotels. Our spacious room was lovely and even luxurious - super comfortable bed, private bath, and our own entry way. We had access to a sun room and pantry that was always stocked with beverages, greek yogurt and organic granolas, coffee, and fresh fruit. We also woke up to incredible breakfast sandwiches from a local bakery.

Michelle and Robert were amazing hosts. Our bedroom and bathroom was straightened 2x/day. They shared historical information on their home and the town. They offered great local suggestions and really went out of their way to make sure we had all the information we needed for a great weekend.

Fantastic option. I will be sending friends and family to Trinity School House for sure . . .

  • Michelle and Bob's house is absolutely lovely and they are most gracious hosts, willing and happy to give suggestions and local information. The location was superb as their home is just a few short blocks from Thames Street. Our room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We'll be back!
