Interaction with Guests
As much as the guests would like, happy to include them in activities, take them out for coffee or to the markets or leave them to their own devices if that is what they would like
It is a safe friendly neighbourhood. Close to transport and a few minutes drive from the centre of the city.
yes, both a bus five minutes walk and the light rail (tram) which takes you into the city on a beautiful route including the fish market which is a fabulous place to visit for anyone who loves seafood
NO SMOKING in the garden or house. Just general consideration on noise levels. The facilities are only shared with the owner so plenty of flexibility. I have a small dog (staffy crosses with kelpie) who is very friendly and spends a lot of time outside. He loves making friends both with people and other dogs and he is very bright. My guests always fall in love with him and my friends nearly always want me to bring him for a visit.
From Mar 1 - May 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Adele was the perfect host, full of helpful and insightful advice about Sydney. Her home is lovely, character-filled and very well appointed and comfortable. It's really close to excellent public transport and near Little Italy in one direction and bubbling Rozelle in the other. Woody the dog may have started life as a foundling but he's landed on all four paws and has grown into an officer and a gentleman. I highly recommend Adele - and next time I'm in Sydney I plan to come back here.
We stayed for 2 days & were out for most of the day.. So we didn't get to meet Adele much but the house met expectations on all fronts. Lovely house with lots of books, paintings & a nice garden in the backyard. Accessible to the bus stop as well, which mattered to us since we didn't have a car. Looking forward to going there when we visit Sydney again!
Savitha & Sumanth
We returned back for a second short stay. We had a better room with private bath which we had expected earlier. The space was clean and offered a wonderful view of the neighborhood. I wish that closets were free to hang our clothes but given the short stay, it was not a problem. Adele left the second day and had a friend stay at her place to be of help. He, Emir, was most helpful and friendly. He actually, cleaned up the place. He was helpful in getting us to the L-train for return back to States. I continue to believe that the location of her place is excellent. One should establish clearly the type of facility (e.g., private bath) and tell Adele if you do not like something (we did not do it). We loved her dog Woody. He recognized us when we returned for the second visit. He hung around us. As we were packing to leave, Woody seem to know that we were going to leave. He stood up on his hind legs to kiss my face. I was sorry to leave Woody.
What a fantastic experience staying at Adeles place
I was made to feel right at home from the get-go, with my late arrival there was soup waiting on the table for me
a Lovely breakfast and chat the next day and I was even dropped off to my work destination
Would I return absolutely it my new go to place in Sydney when travelling there.
1. Adele is a warm, friendly person. She drove us to buy cell phone for
our use in Australia. She even agreed to keep two suitcases while
we went to visit Blue Mountains. This was great help and we are
most grateful for that.
2. The location is excellent, near bus and train line. She told us about
senior tickets for travel on public transportation network.
3. She offered to host an Indian dinner night where everyone was to
make a dish. Unfortunately, due to our very tight schedule we
could not participate in. Sorry Adele and thank you for thinking
4. Breakfast was good.
