Welcome to City Moon! This peaceful sanctuary sits in the heart of downtown Presidio, only one block away from the main street. Come enjoy some incredible sunsets and striking vistas of Mexico, all from your own private little piece of heaven! Come enjoy a lazy day out on the property after a long hike in Big Bend State Park!

We are offering pre-bookings for this property as we are still in the process of building it. More detailed description and photos coming soon!

The space
City Moon is a vintage 1957 Mobiliner Hicks Travel Trailer that was entirely remodeled and rebuilt as a tasteful desert town retreat. It is designed as a quiet sanctuary within downtown Presidio and has a separate bath house, fire pit and outdoor cooking on a custom made BBQ pit, stunning sunrises and sunsets straight from your bed, and magical stargazing!

Here’s what you will find inside City Moon:
The Queen size bed comes with big fluffy pillows, and the couch also transforms into a lazy day bed.
Soft linens are provided for the bed as well as bath linens, pillows, throws and comforter, so that you can travel light.
A brand new mini-split AC unit to help cool off during these hot desert days - which also doubles as a heater for cooler nights.
A small colorful retro fridge to store food and drinks.
A retro coffee maker and coffee pods for that morning kick.
A wonderful selection of out-of-print books about the desert and this area.
String lights, reading lights, board games, a large coffee table, a designated work area with a desk and chair, a large closet space with hangers, a bluetooth speaker and beautiful arts and crafts from Mexico.

A few steps away from the trailer, outside on the property:
A brand new full bath house with an Italian shower, a large colorful sink and mirror, and a commode, all decorated with rare vintage finds and trinkets from Mexico.

To enjoy a night of cooking under the Milky Way, all you have to do is bring your own charcoal or fire wood and start grilling on the BBQ pit!
City Moon’s cooking area comes with plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses, can opener, and a pair of tongues. The fire pit area has comfortable outdoor chairs to enjoy the night sky after a nice meal.

There is a designated parking area on the property, so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot nearby!

Presidio and the entire Big Bend Area are Dark Sky Friendly and the 4th darkest sky in the US! This is why we get such great views of the Milky Way at night. Please help us keep it that way by being mindful and keeping lights and noise to a minimum at night!

Where you’ll be

Presidio, Texas, United States

Overlooking City Moon is a very old and large tree home to a wide variety of birds, so most days you will get to enjoy their songs!
One block away, on O'Reilly Street, is a gorgeous mural celebrating our unique heritage, painted by muralist Mariell Guzman in August 2020.
The Community Farmers Market is held every Saturday, year round, and two minute walk. You can't miss it, it is right next to St Francis Park.
