Incredible location. Wonderful apt. Michael is an excellent host. Would definitely stay there again.
Michael's apt is exactly as pictured. The street is a beautiful picturesque area of Brooklyn Heights. You are close to the promenade for a lovely stroll. The subway is a short walk. Walking through Brooklyn Heights was like walking through a small village in Europe. Everything you need is a short walk.
The apartment is extremely comfortable and Michael provides every amenity. I wouldn't hesitate to rent it again and recommend it to everyone.
Michael's Brooklyn Heights apartment was excellent! We didn't get a chance to meet Michael, but we really appreciated his flexibility in helping us with a complicated back-to-back rental, and in getting us keys for our very late night arrival.
The apartment is located in a wonderful neighborhood - an easy bike ride across the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan and just two blocks from the fabulous Brooklyn Bridge Park. Subway stations are also convenient. There's a very nice little neighborhood restaurant literally across the street from the apartment, as well as many other very good ones in easy walking distance.
The apartment was as advertised - spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed with nice sheets, fully equipped kitchen. My wife and I will book Michael's place again next time we're in NYC.
Michael was on top of all communication with us and accommodated all of our requests, including getting into the apartment early on the day of our arrival. We didn't actually spend much time in the apartment as we were there for a special engagement weekend for our son. But the time we did spend there was great. Apartment was clean with all the amenities we needed. Loved the tempurpedic mattress!! We would definitely stay there again when visiting in Brooklyn.
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at Michael's place for 3 nights. I can't say enough good things about the place itself and the area.
The apartment itself is cozy and sweet- even nicer in person than on the pictures. Michael was nice enough to have towels and some kitchen & bathroom amenities available for guests. He was really great with communication- quick, clear and helpful with his responses.
As for the Brooklyn Heights area- it's short, peaceful walk to the train (about 10 min), and near the Borough Hall station meaning you have basically every line you could need to get Taxi's aren't hard to come by. Great little stores and cafes on the block (and even more in the surrounding area). The area itself is quiet, trendy and family oriented, but nightlife is only a short train ride away. The bad thing about most 1 bedrooms in Brooklyn is that they are basically only functional as a "crash pad" or someone you change at before heading out to the city. Michael's place is the opposite- great for a relaxing night in or as a place to stay in while you explore the city.
All this to say: thank you so much Michael! Wish we could have stayed longer & will 100% be booking again. Hope you folks do the same!
We had a lovely time staying at Michael's home - it was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed with all the comforts of home - plush towels, a very comfortable bed, dishes and cookware, etc.
Michael was wonderful to work with - he is a great communicator and though we didn't get to meet him in person, he made sure we had everything we needed. He even sent the keys to our home!
The neighborhood is great - close to the Brooklyn Bridge Park and number of restaurants within walking distance, as is the subway.
I highly recommend Michael's home and would not hesitate staying there again when returning to New York.
About the Host, Michael
Hello there! My name is Michael. I live and work in NYC. Working in film production I have the opportunity to travel quite often and this allows me the opportunity to rent out my place from time to time. When Im home in Brooklyn Heights I love checkin out the restaurants on Smith St or heading into the city for some entertainment. I grew up on Long Island and still go home quite often to ride my motorcycle or do a little fishing. Cheers!
