I live on another level which is not available to guests. However, I'm happy to do a wash for travelers, and I'm happy to share my refrigerator if the one in the room is too small. There is a freezer with ice in the basement if you like cold drinks!
If you're in the mood for a cookout, you can use the grill in the garden.
Interaction with Guests
I love meeting my guests and sharing stories. However, if you have a busy agenda, I'm happy to leave you alone.
I love that I can walk everywhere in the city from my house. If the weather changes suddenly, I'm never too far to run home.
The building doesn't look impressive from the outside, but the interior is as modern as anything in the US.
If you're an American, what fun to say you stayed in a house that's older than your country!!!
The bus and taxi stand are 2 minutes away on the other side of Poarta Schei.
Please, no smoking in the room. There's a table and chairs right outside for you to smoke and enjoy the view, even if it's raining.
Check-in and check-out are flexible unless someone is there before or after you. Then check-out is 12 pm and check-in is 2 pm.
You may leave your luggage here before or after your stay.
I will be happy to do a wash for you.
I have a kitty, but he stays upstairs with me.
Rinda is perhaps the friendliest host I have met. She often went out of her way to make me feel at home, such as a nice "Welcome" sign pasted on my room door. Room was perfect and identical to what is shown in the pictures. Location is perfect, 30 seconds walk to the Black Church and Town Square. Taxis are also readily available. Perfect place for a quaint getaway in Brasov. Will definitely stay here again if I am in Transylvania.
Staying in Rinda's Room was one of the highlights of our 4 week tour.
Her cozy room provided all we needed and was very clean and quiet. For us, it was like visiting a friend....lots of great conversation sharing wine and getting to know Roman, her kitty. The location couldn't be more perfect for visiting the old town and nearby hills.
Rinda always responded promptly to all of our questions with fine detail. Would love to return again in the future!
Rinda's room is great and really cosy as well. We had no problem finding our way to her apartment by taking the bus from the train station in Brasov. Rinda is really friendly and helpful too. She gladly helped us in whatever ways she could and we were really thankful for that. I recommend everyone to make a reservation with her when visiting Brasov for a really good experience!
Rinda's Room has been has been one of my best Airbnb experiences so far. The room is spacious and has its own bathroom, so it's basically like a mini-flat in itself that comes with an abundance of information on Brasov, the region and Romania as a whole. The beds are comfy and everything was impeccably clean. Really good value-for-money in a fantastic location.
My experience with Rinda was great! She was at the room when I got there, even though I ended up arriving 3 hours late, and even let me leave my backpack in the basement until I could catch my train on the day I checked out. The room was great, very cozy, and getting in and out was easy and stress free. Thanks Rinda!
Lovely, friendly host, great room, perfect location
About the Host, Rinda
I am passionate about helping others become the best they can be. For the past 10 years in Brasov, I have been a high school English teacher, taught a Business & Ethics class for teenagers, started a Toastmasters club, and lead workshops on money.
Through my guest room, I have met people from all over the world and shared stories and adventures with them over a glass of wine and/or hiking in the mountains.
