Hello! I have a dedicated, beautiful guest bedroom with a private black marble bathroom in my renovated three bedroom apartment in Manhattan on the Upper West Side. This classic New York building is turn-of-the century (pre-war), on the corner of Central Park West and 100th street... across the street is Central Park!

The apartment is conveniently located near subway and buses... within walking distance to over a dozen museums, and you can get almost anywhere in Manhattan within 20-40 minutes, door-to door!

* Just to clarify, since the question comes up a lot, I am only renting this bedroom, not the entire apartment (I live in 3rd bedroom!). If you need another room, I rent out the other room in this apartment, please check out my other listing. Also, please do not rent the room because of the piano... this is not a practice studio or a concert instrument. Guests may use the piano occasionally but its not for hours of practice a day.

This beautiful room is a dedicated guest bedroom, and is fully furnished with a private black marble full-bathroom (only you will use this bathroom!). There is beautiful brick wall, dark hardwood floors, and a wall-unit that lets you hang clothes, with drawers and shelves so you can fully unpack - you don't have to live out of a suitcase. There is a plush pillow-top Kings Down full-size mattress on a captains bed with 2 drawers that is available to put more of your things in. There is also a small wooden desk and chair. This is an interior bedroom within the apartment, and the windows face a light well (not Central Park). There is high-speed Wi-Fi throughout apartment, including this bedroom, and you are free to use it.

I will supply sheets and towels. The room will comfortably fit a couple. The bed has a cozy down comforter, and pillows. You are welcome to hang out in the large and comfortable living room during your stay. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen as much (or little) as you want. There is a shelf in the refrigerator for your food, as well as space in the cabinets to put groceries. I don't provide any food for guests, but there are grocery stores nearby. I have spices, sugar, etc which am happy to share.

If you have a lot of luggage, you can always store them in the living room, under the piano.

This is a large, furnished, 3 bedroom apartment with 2 marble bathrooms & kitchen (approx 1200 sq ft). It is a beautifully renovated pre-war building, and we are on the 4th floor (walk-up). There is wi-fi in the apartment. In the 2nd bedroom, I either have a roommate or will also rent it out on Airbnb. I live in the third bedroom.

Most guests say this apartment looks like the quintessential New York City apartment, being right on Central Park with the brick walls in every room, fire escape, grand piano, and dark wood floors.

Since I am a composer and music producer the apartment is filled with musical things... photos and posters from my shows, musical instruments, and my studio setup. I also have a 6ft baby-grand Baldwin piano which guests can play during the day, when myself and my roommate are out of the apartment. I've had many wonderful musical guests stay, ranging from students auditioning at music conservatory to musicians performing at Carnegie Hall!
* But, please do not rent the room because of the piano... this is not a practice studio or a concert instrument. Guests may use the piano occasionally but its not for hours of practice a day.

The neighborhood is residential area that is quiet and safe! The Police and Fire station is 2 blocks away. We are also within 2 blocks from a lot of stores including Whole Foods, a wine store, several pharmacies, various stores, banks, a bakery, several restaurants, and dry cleaner. 3 blocks away on Broadway are tons of restaurants, and many deliver.

We are located right on Central Park West on the Upper West Side of Manhattan - a very residential area. You can get almost anywhere in Manhattan within 20-40 minutes. Within walking distance of the apartment are more then a dozen museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim, Natural History Museum, Hayden Planetarium, Neue Gallery, Jewish Museum, and many more. Also within walking distance is the famous "Tom's Diner"used in Seinfeld!

The 96th street B and C subway is a 2 minute walk from the building. Within 20 minutes (by subway) you can be in Times Square and the theater district for Broadway Shows. Within 20 to 40 min you can be almost anywhere in Manhattan! You can walk thru the park in about 15 or 20 minutes to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Guggenheim, or the Natural History Museum. From any of the main airports it will take about 1.5hrs to Newark or JFK by public transportation and 45-60 min by taxi. To Laguardia about 60 min by public transportation and 25-30 min by taxi.

If you are new to NYC, I am more then happy to help explain how to get places, recommendations, and answer any questions - I grew up in NYC!

Any questions, please feel free to write!

Guest access

Guests have access to the room they rent, and the living room/kitchen.

Interaction with guests

I work from home, so I am in my room a lot during the daytime, and often out in the evenings. I try to be home during guest checkins, but sometimes is not possible. Lets be in contact a day or two before you travel to arrange for checkin time. If not home, I can easily leave the keys in a lockbox outside the building door.

The neighborhood

The Upper West Side is a residential area of Manhattan next to Central Park. Its wonderful to be in Manhattan but not directly in the heart of the hustle n bustle of midtown (though you can be there in about 20 min!)

Getting around

Subway and busses are just a couple blocks away on 96th St. Can get anywhere in the city in about 20-40 min by public transportation. For people unfamiliar with the subway and bus system I recommend using Maps to get detailed travel directions. Also if you are here for more then a few days, get a weekly metro card for unlimited rides!

Other things to note

This is an older building so it has quirks that older buildings tend to have. Its charming an beautiful, but its not a modern building with all the amenities! Any questions please ask :-)

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
May not be safe or suitable for children (0-12 years)
Check in is anytime after 1PM
Check out by 11AM

No Smoking or drugs. Food and booze in apartment belongs to myself and roommates, but you are more then welcome to bring your own.

Considerate, clean and quiet guests only... no party animals please :-)

Please do not eat in the bedroom or leave food open. Food must be put away into the cabinets or fridge... this is still NYC, and we don't want an "unwelcome guests"!

Please be aware that this building is a 4th floor walk up. If you were to need any assistance with your luggage just let me know I'll be glad to help.

Please do not rent the room because of the piano... this is not a practice studio or a concert instrument. Guests may use the piano occasionally but its not for hours of practice a day.

No events, parties, or photoshoots allowed.

The apartment is in a pre-war (old early 1900's) building. It has some quirks, but the apartment itself is newly renovated.

I will do whatever I can to accommodate any reasonable guest requests.
Any questions - please feel free to ask!

Patrick was very welcoming and provided a helpful guide to the apartment and points of interest in New York that the normal tourist may not have known about. Just a short walk to the subway to get you anywhere you need to be. Or if you are feeling active taking a stroll through Central Park is just as enjoyable right across the road. The kitchen and private bathroom made our stay that much more comfortable. Would definitely recommend this apartment to people searching for a quiet location that isn't to far away from the rush of the city.

Patrick's apartment on W 100th street was fabulous! His directions for getting into and up into the apartment were flawless and his apartment is impeccable. Very clean, comfortable, and inviting. We stayed in the room with a private bathroom which was just lovely! We only saw Patrick once during our stay because of our busy schedules but when we met him, he was friendly and nice to chat with before we left for the day. We had clean towels and sheets and plenty of blankets. The shelves in the room were nice for unpacking! The location of the apartment was stellar. Close to coffee shops, drug stores, and supermarkets. Very convenient to the subway and Central Park is right at your doorstep. Overall, I give this place a 10/10! We will definitely recommend Patrick's apartment and probably book again in the future! It was perfection.

The place is just as shown on the site. No surprises. The room is quite wide with plenty of space to unpack and make oneself comfortable. The bathroom seems new (or at least is very well kept). The place was pretty clean and very neat. Super cozy and warm during cold days. The area is very nice to walk around, there are some shops nearby and is really close to subways access. Although Patrick had some inconvenience on the last minute and couldn't be there for our arrival he was very willing to help us and solve any trouble that came up quickly.

The apartment is located right next to Central Park and about a 3 min walk to the closest subway. Patrick was flexible with our check in, which helped us settle down quickly and he was also very helpful throughout our stay.
