Diane was a very welcoming host. Check-in was super easy. The location go the house was perfect, just a couple of short blocks from the public beach. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed including a few items for the beach.
It was a great house and I thought the beds were very comfortable. A nice quiet neighborhood and it was a quick walk to the beach.
We enjoyed our time at the Snapper Lane Beach House. The space was exactly as described, and just a three (short) block walk to the beach public access. We made that walk 2x a day with our pup, who enjoyed her trip as well! The kitchen was furnished with all the utensils and pots & pans you could want. We cooked breakfast for my parents who were staying elsewhere one morning and had plenty of room for cooking and eating. The beds were super comfortable, and the convenience of the washer-dryer downstairs was super helpful for our week-long road trip. We loved bringing our fur-baby to Carolina Beach with us and would definitely look to stay at Snapper Lane again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Snapper Lane. Diane gave us plenty of great suggestions on places to go, restaurants, etc. Bobby made us feel welcome and shared helpful and insightful stories about the area. The house was just right for the two of us, and Diane made sure we had plenty of provisions. The location of the house was close enough to the beach while still being quiet and off the beaten track. We would highly recommend staying here for a comfortable, relaxing and clean home away from home.
We stayed at the Snapper Lane Beach House for a week in October and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beach access is literally two blocks away and the unit had everything that we needed. The unit is very cute and we found it as described. We enjoyed sitting on the pier at the Tiki Bar, and getting organic veggies, baked goods and local gourmet food items at the Veggie Wagon. We loved the fact that we were able to bring our dog with us, and the table and chairs on the outdoor porch were a plus. October is off season, so Carolina Beach is quiet but the weather is still beautiful. We loved the fact that there were fewer people and less traffic, but note that many of the local shops and restaurants do close for the season, or at least during the week in the fall. Fort Fisher and Carolina Beach State Parks are both must sees for easy hikes and are both dog friendly.
I would agree with other reviewers that you will definitely want to bring your own cooking/drinking water. The unit is the second story of a small house, so you will need to go up a flight of stairs to access, and there are tenants who live in the downstairs unit, so it is not a “stand alone” property. Note that there is no dishwasher.
Bobby and Diane were so kind. The place was exactly as described and well equipped! The street was quiet and all the neighbors were nice. We loved the short walk to the beach and enjoyed cocktails at the Tiki Bar! There was no need to go far from Snapper Lane. We can't wait to come back!
The location of this property was fantastic and getting to the beach was easy! Also easy driving distance to Wilmington, which was a plus for us. There was some confusion with the booking process and lack of clarity about additional costs for adding another person. The listing said additional charge for more than 4 guests but the host asked for payment for a 4th guest, so I was confused. I recommend clarifying with the host prior to booking, which I did and was not a problem! Other than that, the place was clean, comfortable, and cute!
