The Space

I am renting this private bedroom and bathroom with private entrance in a newly renovated and one of a kind wooden house in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Located 2 blocks away from the Lorimer Stop on the L train, 3 blocks away from the G train (Metropolitan stop) and 1 stop away from Bedford Avenue. Residencial American-Italian neighborhood, close to restaurants, bars, great coffee shops, stores...
Wifi is available in your bedroom, there is also AC, a fridge, microwave, and kettle. You won't be able to really cook but you can reheat food ( there isn't a full kitchen).
Clean bed linens and towels are provided for your comfort. As well as tea, bananas and muffins when you arrive.

My husband (who designed the house) and I are living in the building. The neighborhood is very pleasant and super safe at night!

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thank you,

  • Fanny's room in Brooklyn is spacious and comfortable. Despite my concerns about travelling alone in New York City, I did feel very safe (when it was light) using the subway and walking around the area in the evening.
    Thank you Fanny :)

  • Fanny Allie was very accommodating and helpful when we had to change our reservation. Her directions to locate keys and entry procedure were clear and easy to follow. Facilities exactly as pictured in the listing. Refrigerator and microwave were very convenient. Wonderful Italian pastry shop across the street!

  • Super one room apartment. The room actually is quitte big. We really enjoyed the stay. The private entrance gives you the feeling that you live in Williamsburg. Very nice. The neigborhood is attractive and the Italian restaurant opposite of the house serves great coffee to start the day with. I can really recommend this place.

  • Very easy, simple experience - thank you! Very quick to respond and organise at short notice. What was great is the room is more like a self-contained flat so it's extremely private. Very quiet relaxing area, great for transport with the subway very close by. Would definitely consider staying again.

  • Fanny's place is perfect, comfortable and clean in an area well served in Brooklyn, very close to the L subway, stop to Manhattan in a few minutes. Around are a lot of places to have breakfast, shop or dine. Fanny was a really good host. We really spent a wonderful few days here!

  • Just got back from a four day stay at Fanny's.
So easy to get to from JFK. The room is located in a safe and clean area. Also we slept great thanks to a very comfy bed, good pillow and great blankets. There was not a lot of noise in the street so that was a plus too.
The shower was great. Clean and the water came down in a good way so I didn't have any trouble with getting the soap out of my hair (very important to me) :-)
Location is good to get to any part of NY you like, walk a few minutes ( I really mean only two minutes ) and the metro takes you.
We could also appreciate the privacy Fanny gave us. We didn't need her that much so we didn't go to her and just did our thing. We did felt however that she was at our 'service' if we would have needed any help.
Great of her to let us use the hall to leave our luggage after check out time. We met her shortly when we left for a quick chat. We got to know Fanny as a very nice host. We would surely stay with here again.
I'm thinking if there is any downside but really there isn't. Only maybe think about taking your computer so you can have a bit of music when you get up or get ready for bed. Since there is no radio or tv it can get very quiet... We were happy we had a laptop with some music when we got at the room ( not that we stayed in a lot, the city should keep you moving ) and we found the wifi to be very quick and strongly connecting. Very handy !!!
Also one last thing. Since I am a bit allergic, I was happy to have a wooden floor without any carpets. The room wasn't dusty at all and so there was great breathing air in the room.
I would like to say thank you to Fanny again for the great accommodation !

  • Wow... really. This was a wonderful place to stay while we were in New York. Fanny was very responsive and incredibly helpful whenever we needed anything. The place is about 2 blocks from the subway that goes right into Manhattan and the neighborhood seemed quite safe...even coming back after midnight on multiple occasions. Whenever we come back to NYC, we will definitely try to stay here! Oh, and try the vegan place a block and a half away... not a vegan myself, but the food was astoundingly good.
