The three of us were very comfy in Rick's lovely house ,our room was bright and air conditioned with plenty of room for our many suitcases! There are plenty of convience stores and supermarkets nearby aswell as some great local cafes and places to eat. It's a very short walk to the subway (Q line) so you have easy access to anywhere in Manhattan, great place to base yourself for any New York trip.
Rick was the ideal host. He was hospitable to a fault- quick to offer a sight-seeing opportunity or to suggest a good local restaurant. He was knowledgeable on a host of subjects and so was fun to chat with whenever we bumped into each other. He was quiet and respectful of your space- at times I didn't even know if he was in the house. On top of this, he took fine care of his charming house and was helpful if there ever was a problem or a question. I had a splendid time- would do it again- and recommend staying there to anyone.
Rick is a friendly host who helped me to get settled in and made a number of suggestions for things to do and see in the city. The room was comfortable and is in a nice, quiet Brooklyn neighborhood with lots of conveniences. I happily recommend Rick to any guest.
