Peace and quiet

Wind your way through a vintage salvage yard filled with relics of classic autos and old farm equipment before arriving at your cabin retreat. Perched on a quiet hill in Kilpatrick Vintage Acres, the cabin offers peaceful surroundings and beautiful views of the countryside. Located just a short drive from Mackinac Island, it’s the perfect base for exploring the area. End your evening under brilliant star-filled skies and wake to a breathtaking sunrise and the sweet sound of birds.

The space
The cozy cabin sleeps 4 and you are permitted to also have a tent on site 6 people total. No generators allowed guaranteeing you and other guests a quieter time while at the camping area. There is 12v lighting in the cabin. The cabin has a picnic table, fire pit with cooking grate, and a trash can. Once the trash makes it to the can I take care of it from there. The walk to the outhouse requires taking a short footpath down a fair amount stairs into the valley.

On your drive in there is a water station with a jug provided. Ice and bundles of wood are for sale also. First night of firewood is free and already on site. Fires are weather permitting ( if too dry/windy/ect.) If using fire pit please put fire out and put cover back on before leaving.

Running water is available on your drive back to your cabin.

The outhouse for the cabin is down a fair amount of steps into the valley. There is no shower for the cabin.

You will be located in beautiful Bliss Michigan. A few miles away from the peaceful, pristine shores of Lake Michigan. Sturgeon Bay Beach is just 4 miles up the road as well as the North Country Hiking Trails. Bliss Polo Fields are just around the corner. Mackinaw City home to the Headlands International Dark Sky Parks just 15 miles away. To the west of is is Cross Village home of the iconic Leggs Inn polish restaurant and the Tunnel of trees on M119. Follow M119 to the south you end in beautiful Harbor Springs.

The location of our air bnb has been in my family for 100 years. The property has been in the Kilpatrick Family for many generations. I grew up here, as well. Yes, Bliss is a rural location, but you will not be disappointed. Look forward to meeting people from across the world!
