Three Gables is a delightful country cottage in the mid-west of Ireland. It was built in the 1800s, and sits in an acre of beautiful grounds with open country views in all directions.
Three Gables is located on the scenic Estuary Drive, on the southern coastline of the Shannon Estuary, between North Kerry and the city of Limerick. It is also very close to the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's first long-distance touring route, which runs along the whole Atlantic coast of Ireland.

We recommend the following:

The medieval town of Askeaton is within walking or very easy cycling distance. There is a post office, a cafe, a bar which also serves food, local shops, a swimming pool and fitness centre, a bank, a medical centre, and a supermarket. Call at the Tourist Information Centre for guided tours of the town, including Askeaton Castle and the Franciscan Friary.

John and Aileen were absolutely wonderful. I felt like I had known them for years and could (and did) sit and talk with them for hours. They even helped me get the keys out of the locked car! I hated to leave!
John and Aileen provide a wonderful experience for their guests. They were the most delightful hosts. Their breakfast was delicious and the accommodations, beautiful! I will definitely include them on my itinerary anytime I am in Ireland. Their farmhouse inn is ideally located to get to the Shannon airport easily. Wonderful people, wonderful place!
We moved from England to Ireland in 2002, looking to retire in a few years. Those few years turned into ten years because the cottage we bought in 2003 took far longer to fix up than we originally planned. Although we did very little structural work ourselves, most of the internal work is our own. It's been a tough time but it's finished now, and we are delighted with the results.
We are both very happy here, and we've made many friends both locally and farther afield. It's great for walking and cycling, and there is a strong community spirit. We love visiting quaint Irish towns and villages, people are very friendly and helpful wherever you go. It's a pleasant change after many years of urban living.
We both share an interest in classic cars - I maintain and repair them, and both Aileen and I like driving them. There are several active classic and vintage car clubs in the Limerick area. There are many meetings and shows, particularly in the summer months.
We also like to travel, and one of our favourite destinations is Paris. We have a passion for staying in places with character, and where the service is friendly and helpful. We hope that our passion is reflected in the character of Three Gables, and in the service we provide. We sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay with us.
John and Aileen.
