Other things to note

Gas burning Fireplace in Living Room. Half bath in master is very small, just toilet and sink in small space right off bedroom. This is a rustic cabin remodel, the stairs going down from Living room to lower bedrooms has low ceiling so really tall people need to duck a little. If you want a luxury newly built home this is not it. This is a rustic/vintage log cabin!

Should be aware that bunk beds are in converted garage. Shower head downstairs is about 4 ft high. Bathroom off master is a converted closet. Clean, responsive. Great place for a bunch of friends who don't care too much about lodging. If you're looking for something nicer not the right place for you. I expected it to be a little nicer but overall am happy about the stay. Location is walking distance to the beach.

Response from Nancy:
I just added this to the listing info so there is no confusion on what the cabin is like. For sleeping 16 with a rate of $395 or lower it's a steal. If you want a luxury newly built home this is not it. Half bath in master is very small, just toilet and sink in small space right off bedroom. This is a rustic cabin remodel, the stairs going down from living room to lower bedrooms has low ceiling so really tall people need to duck a little. This is a rustic/vintage log cabin and yes, they converted the garage space into living space, but it's nice for a lake cabin. It's all pine wood, all bunk beds are quality built-ins. There is a window, it's wall to wall carpeted. It's great for kids!!!

Wow - What cool house! Even though the description says "rustic" the home has all of the amenities, including cable TV and WiFi. Our large group (16 people) was able to stay at this unique log cabin home without tripping over each other too much. The hot tub and grill were definitely great perks. The house is well stocked with kitchen utensils, but it would have been nice to have some "basics" like sugar and oil - things that travelers wouldn't want to buy because you don't use enough to make it worthwhile. The towels, soaps and shampoos were also very nice. However, as with the kitchen some of the basics were in short supply. Our group did have to buy toilet paper and paper towels which we left for the next guests. While the beach IS within walking distance, I do think that there should be a stronger caveat about having to cross the busy highway to get to it. Nancy was very kind to provide us with a list of beaches and restaurants with recommendations. Overall our stay was wonderful and we would recommend this home to others.

This place was perfect for my bachelorette party. There were 11 people and it was quite comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. This IS a quiet neighborhood and the homes are close together, but since we aren't a loud group, it worked. One great thing was the long and wide driveway, we had six cars parked there and room for maybe one more. Since parking is at a premium in the area (you can't park on the street) that was an extremely handy feature. The only issue we had (and it was tiny) was that the remotes for the TV/Stereo/Entertainment system didn't work - (maybe they didn't have batteries, I didn't investigate) but since we weren't exactly there to watch movies that was okay. We brought blue tooth speakers and it was all good. The hot tub is nice and the location is great. ONE word of warning, there are at least three Lakeview Drives in the area - so if you can't find this house - it's not you - it's your GPS. Nancy gives directions to find the place in the description though, so it's really our fault for not paying closer attention. A taxi ride to Harrah's cost $18 plus tip so if you don't have a designated driver, be ready to keep a few bucks back to pay for your ride home from the casino. One unexpected but amazing thing was the riding stables next door - a ten minute walk. And there's a Costco 20 minutes away in Carson City if you need party supplies. SO AWESOME Thank you Nancy so much for a great weekend!

The title of this listing is no lie, it has a very rustic feel with interesting door latch systems, wood interior etc. Perfect for those who want a relaxing getaway in Tahoe. We were able to squeeze 5 vehicles in the long driveway and sleep 16. Everything worked in the kitchen and heating was comfortable. Tldr; Comfortable log cabin with rustic design gives you much bang for your buck.

This house was awesome. There was plenty of space for everyone and it gave a real authentic cabin feel. My entire group had a great time and couldn't have asked for more. I saw on other people's comments that they were worried about there not being a cross walk to the Lake, but there is definitely a crosswalk just don't the main road. I felt totally safe walking down the road and crossing over the beach. Also, what isn't shown in the pictures is that there is a really long driveway, so there is plenty of space for large groups to park there cars.
