Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
This beautiful desert home was renovated from a historic 1950's build, so we made sure to preserve its story by leaving some of its rustic charm behind in the design. Its tiny footprint does not disappoint with its two-story open layout, amenities and creativity in every room. Its most unique feature is its playfully romantic master suite. It's perfect for a couple's getaway or a single person to unwind, create memories, and connect to nature. This home is a Joshua Tree National Park Gem!

The space
Driving up to the property and through the gate you will see two separate homes. To the right is a larger midcentury flat roof home and to the left you will find your stay, a smaller secondary guest home newly renovated. It's hard to miss with its juxtaposed triangle window! The main entrance to the home is on the right side of the building, a beautiful unique turquoise blue door. The upstairs is an open floor plan and contains the living space, full size kitchen and bathroom. The couch is also sleepable as a full size. It feels like a perfect studio to me, but there is a surprise space downstairs. One of the only original basements known of in the area of Joshua Tree and 29 Palms! turned master suite containing a comfy bed, large modular couch, and lots of funs colors, romantic accents and artistic elements. This is my favorite part of the house.
The space doesn't end inside!
In addition to a great indoor area, you will also have a private outdoor patio/ yard space with a BBQ, firepit area, as well as a table and chairs to sit back and relax. This home gives you a taste of the best in tiny home living in the desert, minus being able to drive it away. This place is 5 stars on its central location to explore all the wonders of Joshua Tree National Park. It just 10 minutes from the town of Joshua Tree and nestled between both National Park entrances. You can start at one side and drive through the park to the other side in less than an hour. It's well worth the journey!
A bit of history on this space. The original owner of this property built and used this structure to prepare and preserve grapes and tomatoes that she grew in her garden/ vineyard during the 60's. If you walk the outer part of property the plot next to us that is wide open, it still has the remnants of the vineyard that once thrived. The basement was used as a canning storage area for all her products. The local community remembers coming here to stomp grapes and make memories. Many people who are now elders here in 29 Palms came here as children. This home was a joy to design! A work of art and story lies in every corner to stimulate the senses and inspire. Enjoy your desert stay!

The whole of the property is 1.5 acres of desert landscape and is great to walk around, however please be mindful this property contains two homes and the goal is for the outer part of the property be more of a communal space, if there are other guests in main house during your stay be friendly, but also respect their space unless they want to engage as they will be reminded to do the same. You have your own little house to enjoy your desert stay as well as your own area to park your vehicles next to the unit and a private yard space to enjoy the nice desert air and stars.

Other things to note
The main Joshua Tree National Park entrance is just minutes away from the home in Twentynine Palms and has less traffic going in, less crowds, and the must-see attractions.

Take a stroll down Carodean Road and check out the amazing views in every direction. Adventure awaits! The town of Joshua Tree is just a few miles away with lots of shops and restaurants. Check out one of 29 Palms finest restaurants, Kitchen in The Desert. Hiking is abundant in the area and the main entrance into Joshua Tree National Park is just a few minutes away and is less congested with traffic into park and visitors then the entrance in town of Joshua Tree. Also, you can stop in the visitor's center or checkout the nearby observatory. Hit up Skull Rock while you are there! Also, Indian Cove Campground and 49 Palms is just 4 miles away from the property and has great rock climbing and adventure spots as well. It's a must see! There are so many quirky little things to discover so I recommend looking up things to see in Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree National Park.
