About this listing

Charmingly rustic 1920s bungalow north of Sunset Blvd. From the bungalow you can walk to all Echo Park has to offer: boat on the lake, hike Elysian Park, dance at the Echoplex, see the Dodgers, shop for groceries, health food or thrift finds, eat, drink and enjoy at Masa, Sage, Taix, Brite Spot, Dinette, Little Joy and some of the city's best taco trucks. Buses one block away connect to USC, downtown, Hollywood and beyond.

Let yourself in and relax - I live nearby if you need anything.

The space

Freestanding, sunny and sweet, this vintage 1920's bungalow is a perfect homebase in the creative destination of Echo Park. This bungalow includes an attached and private tiny enclosed yard.

When you return from your day or evening out you'll find a queen-size bed in your bedroom, a small but charming kitchen with built-in breakfast nook, a large vintage bathroom with shower and tub, wi-fi, air-conditioner, heater and a coin-laundry on the premises. Street parking only.

Guest access

The entire little house is yours - there are no shared walls.

Interaction with guests

I live nearby if there's anything you need. There a lock box on the front door so you can let yourself in and have complete privacy if that's how you prefer.

Other things to note

Please feel free to use any foodstuffs in the kitchen.

Please note that the bedroom of this bungalow faces the street and you can hear cars and people passing by. I leave complementary earplugs for guests - if you're a super light sleeper, I also rent the bungalow behind this one which is a little quieter.
There is no TV.

Sorry we're not able to offer a parking space. Parking is easy enough during the weekdays - at night or on the weekend you may have to go around the block. Dodger home game nights are the hardest but not bad by London or San Francisco standards.

The location is exceptional- echo park is super fun, loads of restaurants, able to walk into downtown, the right side for Beverley hills and just a really nice feel(cross fit box and yoga studio within walking distance).

Loved the bungalow and location! Made for an overall great weekend trip to LA. We had some issues with the wifi and Monique and her husband immediately came to fix it and were very responsive.

The bungalow is perfectly quaint and accessible. The bedroom faces the street, which can be noisy but Monique has provided earplugs for guests if you're a light sleeper. Parking can be a bit challenging given street cleaning times but otherwise this is a great value and excellent location for Echo Park.

Monique was very friendly and offered a lot of information on nearby attractions and recommendations. Check in was really easy and organized. We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow except for the noise from the roadside traffic.

I feel like I lucked out finding this bungalow to stay in. Everything about it was perfect: Monique was always there if we had questions, it was very clean, spacious and home-y. There is a full kitchen with a table and also an outdoor garden/patio. The location is really in the heart of echo park - there are a ton of cute coffee shops and restaurants within a few minutes of walking. It's a very artsy neighborhood. There are also interesting clothing stores, an awesome bookstore and a record store right there. You can also walk to Echo Park. Everything about this place is perfect and I highly, highly recommend! Would stay here again if I could.
