Located in Rocha, in the high hills of Moca, Puerto Rico, a small town in the west of Puerto Rico. A place to rest, away from the noise of the city, but at the same time close enough to beautiful beaches, parks, golf, tennis and other amenities. You can watch birds, beautiful sun sets and enjoy the stars at night. Come stay with us and enjoy nature at its fullest, where very seldom need air conditioning, surrounded by fruit trees such as mangoes, avocados, coconuts, and the exotic breadfruit, also there are bananas and plantains, which you may pick free when in season. Enjoy the peaceful nights watching the stars, the moon and the lights from towns not so far away.
Attractions near by.
The town, Moca was built in 1772, and it is only about 15 minutes away. Its church is a historical landmark which is open daily to visitors. On road #2 there, about 15 minutes away, is the Labaddie Castle, which has been restored for the public to enjoy its library and its romantic history, presented by writer Enrique Laguerre. In the midst of town there is the Lace Museum, (Mundillo) which was opened in honor of women who practice this ancient and intricate lace making. Hacienda Enriqueta and other attractions are a must to those visiting this town.
No smoking; turn lights off when not in use.
Great place if you want to get away from it all. Safe gated property with nice deck for BBqing or relaxing. Host was nice a lived next door for anything we needed.
We chose this destination as we kite surf and surf. So for us the house location was really convenient (about 30 min drive to Isabela beach area and 40 min to Rincon). The road conditions to reach these
places are also good. The house is nice and comfortable. We also had plenty of space outside to rinse/air dry the gear, kites and boards. We
enjoyed having breakfast in the terrace overlooking Milagros' yard, a huge forest of plantains, papayas, and cute lizards that like to come out and play. There's also a barbecue in the terrace :)
Milagros is an excellent host. She is super nice and she was available to help us when needed. We certainly enjoyed her homemade mango jam on our breakfast toasts!
Thank you, Lucía for your comments. We certainly enjoyed having both of you at our "Paradise in the Tropics". Lucía and Robert were very charming and dynamic, full of energy enjoying surfing in Rincon and Isabela. Very easy going and charming. Although they were hardly at the house, because of their busy schedule, when they were there, they were very nice, helpful and most cooperative. We love to have them back anytime.
Milly's home in the hills between Moca and San Sebastian is beautiful. The roads in the area are twisty, beautiful, and feel safe as the area motorist are attentive and polite. The towns are not touristy, but services are available. Trips to the coast are fast, and the hills are beautiful. Be sure to visit the waterfall Gozalandia.
Staying at this property was a perfect end to our trip to Puerto Rico. My wife and I were looking for a quiet place to work on our card games and catch up on our cocktail hours. The deck at this property was perfect for this. The deck itself is worth the price of admission for this little house. Our hostess, Milagros, was very pleasant to deal with. She called us the night before our arrival to confirm our e.t.a. so that she would be sure to be home from an appointment to meet us. This is actually a pretty good location if you are exploring this area. 15-20 drives put you at the main east-west highway or 15-20 minutes the other direction gives you a couple of options for north-south. All in all, this was a very good travel experience.
Thank you Joe for staying with us at Hydeaway Paradise....Your wife was so very nice and lovely also. We certainly enjoyed having you and appreciate your comments. We certainly make every effort to make our guests stay as pleasant as possible. We are so glad you enjoyed the deck ; it is my husband's pride for he made it himself. So sorry you didn't get to taste the avocados, since its season is over. We hope you come back again.
It is a very nice house with an awesome porch in a beautiful location. A real hideaway paradise really.
And Milagros was very helpful and answered all our questions - a perfect host
In first instance the house was hard to find, due to the location on (website hidden) Maps. But with the help of Milagros we soon found out we're it was. We had a nice welcome and all the privacy we wanted. Great was the air-conditioned bedrooms, the enormous porch and the possibility to safely park your car behind the electric gate.
This house is a great place to stay if you want to discover puerto ricos west coast. The house is very nice and has a beautiful terrace. Milagros and her family are very very nice and they were extremely helpful and managed a problem with our rental car. She also was always there to answer our questions.
There are many fast food restaurants and two large supermarkets close by. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for everything!
