  • I did have a wonderful stay in the house. I am as well grateful to Jette ,that she did let me the house all for (website hidden) is located near the small shop where I could buy all I need. And Fejø is such a beautiful place! I strongly recommend people to visit this special part of Denmark!

  • Jette's home is the perfect retreat for getting away and experiencing the beauty of Fejø. The house, the organic garden with its many kinds of berries to enjoy, Jette's wonderful breakfast offerings, local Fejø produce and products including cider and apple juice, the fresh air, and the gorgeous view from the house are just a few of the things that made our stay so relaxing and so special.

  • It was a great experience to visit Jette at the small, Danish island Fejø. Jette told us that we were the first guests she had received during winter time, so it is important to emphafize that Fejø is interesting and beautiful also in February. The snow was still patchy in the fields while the apple trees in orchards were waiting for spring and flocks of birds drew patterns in the sky. In the evening we dined at the local inn "Kvasen", and were hospitably received by the owner. For breakfast Jette served a nice breakfast with local apple juice and apples, still tasting of summer.

  • Jette picked me up at the ferry, gave me a tour of the island by car (enough that I could find the essentials, but without spoiling anything I might want to explore), showed me to a very comfy bed, gave me a three page packet (in English) explaining highlights and everything I'd need to know, a map, then left me to relax for the duration of my stay. If you need a home-away-from-homey break from museums and riverfronts, this island is a perfect place for it.

I belong to a group of people on Fejø who are very interested in sustainability, permaculture, transition or whatever name you put on a more peaceful and simple way of life. On Fejø you can get various kinds of organic products, apples of course, but even grapes. In my garden I am specialising in various kinds of berries, blue, strawberry, gooseberry, raspberry, aronia, blackberries etc more will be added in the coming years. Although I favour the simple life I have not managed to scale down completely, as I still work in education. I have travelled widely and am very interested in other countries and cultures as well as the state of our common planet. I believe that nature itself has some healing powers and this seems to be substantiated by scientific evidence. I welcome you to a relaxing stay and hope you will enjoy the peacefullness of this beautiful island. p.s. if you should for some reason long for a shopping spree there are several flee markets tempting you to a do a bargain at low cost and with good conscience( recycling)
