Start your day with the morning newspaper in my large kitchen filled with the smell of home-made muffins and coffee. I am located on the near westside of Madison, adjacent to the historic University Heights neighborhood (a great place to walk and admire landmark homes). One mile or less to UW-Hospitals and Clinics, UW campus, Camp Randall Stadium and a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. One block from two bus routes (#19 and #6). I will be happy to help you plan your time in in the great city of Madison.
This two-story home features your choice of two bedrooms with either a full or queen-sized bed with room for up to four people. Private bathroom with shower and bathtub. Central air-conditioning, ceiling fans, Wi-fi connection, and cable television also available. Off street parking.
I am recently retired from the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and I have lived in Madison for 30 plus years. If you like to walk I can give you directions to a zoo, a lake, Indian burial mounds, a Frank Lloyd Wright home, and a confederate graveyard. You can see several of these and still be back for fresh muffins!
By the way, I share my home with two cats, Radames and Aida. they are getting a bit old and needy, but otherwise they are very loving.

While staying with Meg, I was always wondering why do they have Hilton in Madison. Megs place is way better than any Hilton I stayed before. Warm and friendly atmosphere, cosy house, great cat, and don't forget the muffins! That is all you would need in a cold winter in Madison. There will be no other place for me to stay in Madison from now on. Thank you Meg.
Meg was very accommodating and welcoming. She has a beautiful home with all the comforts. I enjoyed a great breakfast and great conversation. I would recommend her home while visiting Madison .
I can't say enough about Meg and her hospitality. i was only in town for a little over 24 hours, but in that time she showed me into her home, showed me the town of Madison, and made me feel as if I had been there for a week. Her home was absolutely lovely and filled with charm. It was still a very private and comfortable experience. If I could, I would give her and her home 10 stars. If you are looking to travel through Madison and need a place to call home for a little while, this is an absolutely perfect place both in terms of location (very close to UW) and comfort.
Meg was a great host and made me feel right at home during my time in Madison. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay during their trip to Madison. I would also recommend her for visiting medical students like myself as she was very understanding of my hectic schedule and was ready and willing to help me out in any way that she could so that I had everything I needed both for school and for my stay.
A very comfortable stay! The weather was just getting cold but Meg's house was warm and welcoming to come home to. It was nice to meet Meg and her son and experience what life might be like living in one of the lovely residential streets of Madison. Meg was great at giving directions for getting around Madison, and we shared some interesting conversations over tea and breakfast. I walked to and from the university, and also used the Madison bike service to cycle around the lakes and the town. Thanks Meg - Recommended!
Meg was a fantastic host for my boyfriend's mother who was visiting for a conference. Her home is lovely and conveniently located. Meg went out of her way to show her guest around the campus, help her with shopping, and offered to provide transportation to and from her home and to the conference. Excellent communication as well. She is a kind, patient, helpful, flexible, and accommodating host--highly recommend!
Super nice hostess & lovely home in a very good location! Helpful & accommodating! We would for sure stay again when we go to visit our children in college there!
For three weeks my daughter and I stayed at Meg's house. I was teaching at UW Madison and my daughter went to West High School as a 9th grader. We very much enjoyed our stay. Meg was a great host. She made us feel very much at home and helped us to find our way around. My daughter was thrilled by Meg helping her to do some shopping for her sports activities, and even taking home a UW T-Shirt as Meg's gift. We will be happy to come back! Thanks Meg!
Staying with Meg while researching my family tree at the Wisconsin Historical Society at the university was perfect - an easy bus ride to and from both campus and the capitol in a quiet neighborhood. Meg had coffee on every morning and yummy muffins and fruit, and helped me with the bus schedule and things to do in town when I wasn't poring through miles of microfilm.
