Fabulous apartment in great location. Wonderful view. Petra was an incredible host and very helpful. We were having friends over right after we arrived and she arranged for wonderful food to be delivered. Clean and immaculate with every possible item for your convenience. Plenty of maps and suggestions. Definitely will return!
A first-class apartment in all respects.
Feeling at home even when your home is far away, thanks you Petra! The Penthouse is amazing and full equiped, we found comfort, beauty, good food, wonderful books, first choice tequila (!) and Petra was so kind, she gave us some advices on places to go, things to do, restaurants and a lot of others that made our staying in DF really unforgettable...then we spent few time together, and helped us a lot, she's a friend now!
Choosing Petra's house for your staying will add beauty to your travel, do it!!!!

What an excellent place in a perfect location for seeing the heart of Mexico City. Petra and her staff are elegant, detail orientated, and a warm welcome as well. We didn't take advantage of any arranged tours that she would have been happy to set up, rather, we explored on foot, grabbed a taxi, or took a bus trip when a bit longer excursion was needed. All very easy to do. And even easier when we always knew we had stellar accommodations awaiting us when we returned "home". Very much as advertised or better.
the place is great and beautiful. great location for all the centro historico has to offer. a bit desolat after 11 if you are the type to hit the town late but i found it safe. my only critique is that the bed was very uncomfortable for me and my boyfriend. however we are use to a tempurpedic mattress. the apartment is very large and really stunning. the terrace is amazing...
petra was very nice. i only saw her once but found her to be very warm.
ceci the house keeper (who i did see a bit) was extremely helpful, kind, and respectful.
When we first booked our trip, my friends wanted to stay in a hotel because of the perceived security benefits. We’re all glad that we decided instead to stay at Petra’s amazing apartment. While she is relatively new-to the airbnb community, Petra has been renting this space for a number of years through other outlets and the entire process from booking the space to checking-out ran incredibly smoothly. Everything is geared to the needs of travelers – from the directions getting from the airport to the binders full of resource materials for Mexico City activities… from the vases of fresh flowers all the way down to the eclectic assortment of tequilas in the mini-bar! And Petra made herself available for tips and advice about navigating the city.
The apartment itself is lovely… an oasis overlooking the Palacio de Bellas Artes. We spent several afternoons sipping drinks while watching the city’s spectacular sunsets from the terrace (that poor air quality is good for something!) The rooms were large, tastefully decorated and full of light. The bathrooms were fantastic: great water pressure; gleaming white marble & glass; and views of the city. Every day (except Sundays), charming Ceci brought in a crew to clean the apartment and leave provisions for the next day’s breakfast. Petra can make available between one to four bedrooms (price depends on bedrooms used), which was perfect since our travel numbers shifted day-to-day.
The apartment is located blocks from the Zocolo – so there are many interesting old-school restaurants, sights, museums and bars within walking distance. You’ll probably want to take cabs (or the Metro which is nearby, but which we never tried) over to the Roma, Condessa and Zona Rosa neighborhoods for the hipster hangouts. The neighborhood and building never felt unsafe – even when the police barricaded the streets for the free Justin Bieber concert.
I definitely recommend this place for anyone lucky enough to spend time in Mexico City!
