Relax in the heart of the quiet country of Mecklenburg! Here you will find peace and space, a lovingly furnished house, a swimming area within walking distance and a 3000 m² property.

The space
You can use the entire house. The upper floor is a little simpler, but has its own bathroom - ideal for slightly older children (the stairs up are unfortunately very steep...)

Neighborhood highlights

The old school is located in the small village of Groß Upahl, a strictly protected landscape conservation area on the Baltic Pilgrimage Route; beautiful routes lead through the forest to Lenzen and Lohmen.

In Güstrow, the famous "Floating One" by Ernst Barlach can be found in the cathedral, and further works by the famous sculptor can be seen in the Gertrude Chapel and in the studio house. The parish church has a precious Bormann altar from 1522. Also worth seeing is the Renaissance castle.

Bützow, a typical Mecklenburg small town on the Warnow, known from the novella “The Geese of Bützow” by Wilhelm Raabe, has a collegiate church worth seeing, St. Mary, St. John and St. Elisabeth from the 13th century with an altar from 1503.

In addition, in the 18th century, century, who created the only reformed church building in northeastern Germany in 1771.

The monastery village of Dobbertin is worth a visit. In the café and shop of the Dobbertin Diakoniewerk on the monastery grounds you can stop for a bite to eat and buy souvenirs. We also recommend the Café Kentzler (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). You can also take a boat trip on Lake Dobbertin.

As excursion destinations a little further away, we recommend
the Archäologisches Freilichtmuseum in Groß Raden with the reconstruction of a Slavic castle,
the Boitiner Steintanz (a kind of "mini-Stonehenge")
the Warnow-Durchbruchstal. In the village of Groß Görnow there is a parking lot and access for a wonderful hike on the high banks on both sides of the Warnow.

You can also travel very comfortably by train from Güstrow to Rostock and Warnemünde. The Baltic Sea beach in Kühlungsborn is also easily accessible via Bützow and Kröpelin. And via the B104 you are in the picturesque state capital Schwerin in just under an hour.
