Lisa has created a wonderful space for visitors to explore Joshua Tree! The dome was cozy and exactly as described, clean, unique, and Lisa was very welcoming. We loved our stay and feel lucky that she shares this space with the Airbnb community!
After a long day exploring the Park and downtown Joshua Tree, Lisa greeted us with a warm welcome and helped us get familiar with the property. I'm by no means a rugged, pitch-a-tent-anywhere-and-let's-camp type of person, but my friend and I were looking for an experience a little out of the ordinary and slightly off-the-grid. A night at the Pods was a wonderful compromise. It had all the amenities of home (running water, outdoor kitchen, hot shower) but felt totally private and connected with the desert landscape. The pod had everything we needed to keep cozy and everything was so clean. I highly recommend checking this place out. The experience is truly magical.
This was one of the coolest places I've ever been. I felt completely safe staying alone in my sleep pod and Lisa was super friendly and welcoming. Great location, too!
We had a great times at the Bonita Domes. Lisa was very welcoming and the experience was extremely pleasant and unique. We were even lucky enough to see some bighorn sheep in the hills behind the pods. We can't wait to return!
We had a great stay in the pod! Very quiet area, nice fire pit area, easy in and out and would highly recommend!
The earth domes are beautiful! They are nestled close to town and right on the outskirts of the national park. Despite the winter rain (which provided phenomenal desert views) we were able to stay warm under cozy blankets in our little hut. We were very pleased with the overall visit, but the shower water did not stay warm for more than 5 minutes (maybe due to the lack of sunshine from the clouds and solar heating?). Also, there wasn't a very efficient space for charging camera batteries/telephones ect (the outlet was outside and exposed to the elements). Otherwise, accommodations including the outdoor kitchen and fire pit area lined with mexican blankets were fantastic. Lisa was quick to respond when we ran out of propane and she also gave us great advice for local food.
I dearly appreciate the magical space that Gabe and Lisa shared with us. I was very inspired by the domes themselves and the land surrounding them. Overall, we are satisfied with our quiet, calm, and homey-camping experience and do recommend it!
Gabe was really nice, informative, and answered all our questions even regards to the building process of the domes.
It was a very unique experience. It felt as though we were camping but with a beautiful, spacious, hot shower and clean, private, running toilet!
The experience was also great because the other couple in the other pod were nice and comfortable to talk to around the campfire at night.
It was just a beautiful stay!
