Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Built in the late 19th century, this beautiful 2 story 3bd/2.5ba duplex keeps the historic charm & character of the house. 3 blocks to St.Charles/streetcar line/parade route & min's to Commander's Palace, Magazine St, & the historic cemeteries. Inviting open feeling with 11.5ft tall ceilings, century old hardwood floors, inviting front porch & balcony, fully furnished backyard, off-street parking for 1 car. My home is the perfect authentic New Orleans stay!

The space
-fully furnished backyard with charcoal grill
-off street parking for 1 car and plenty of free street parking ( DRIVEWAY NOT AVAILABLE DURING MARDI GRAS SEASON)
-all bathrooms include essential toiletries
-walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery, streetcar, historic cemeteries, parade route
-Garden District about 5min walk, Magazine St. is about a 15 min walk, FQ about an 18min streetcar ride away
-non-working fireplaces in every room
-the kitchen will have a French Press, Keurig, coffee pot and Brita water filter pitcher
-large TV in living room with ROKU
-recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms
-comfy queen beds (all rooms are upstairs)
-the stairs to the 2nd level are 16 steps. With it being an old house, they are untraditional (2 turns) which may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues

Other things to note
The house is on a busy street and can be loud at times with traffic and locals having fun, laissez le bon temps rouler! You also never know when a second line is going to pop as well! It is in a culturally diverse area, mixing old historic homes with the new. I live next door :) The driveway is narrow so I suggest unloading then parking your car in the driveway. There is always free street parking available as well. DRIVEWAY UNAVAILABLE DURING MARDI GRAS SEASON

The middle bedroom "shared space" is the traditional shotgun style in New Orleans. Where you walk thru the room to get to the other room. There is one door, to the other bedroom but the door way by the bathroom is a curtain.

During the hot summer months, please be mindful when sitting on the balcony/front porch and leaving the doors open or bugs will get inside the house.

Hey y'all! I'm a gypsy at heart...Used to travel frequently for work and have finally settled back home! I love a good book, good food, a glass of wine and live music. I've traveled all over the world and been fortunate to have lived in many amazing places.
