Perfect Summer/Ski Getaway! Beautiful 3 Bedroom/2 Bath House with Jacuzzi/BBQ...only 1 mile from the lake, walking distance to regional parks/trails and 5-20 miles from 3 ski resorts. Very nicely decorated and furnished, so please only inquire if you are looking for a very nice, peaceful house to spend time in Lake Tahoe.
Entire house (bedrooms, bathrooms, living-dining rooms, entertainment cabinet (TV, stereo, dvd/video player), fully stocked kitchen, deck with jacuzzi & BBQ, garage & driveway.
We live in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood called Kingswood Estates. It's very well kept and plowed during the winters, includes both vacation and permanent houses, and borders the North Tahoe Regional Park with wonderful walking trails and public tennis courts and fields.
The Tahoe Area Regional Transit Bus picks up right at Kingwood Drive and Highway 267, so just a couple of blocks away. and takes you to the major resorts and around the lake. Taxis are also available.
Please do not smoke in the house, and if you've arranged to bring your dog(s), please keep them off the furniture/beds and thoroughly wipe down their paws and underside each time they go outside. Please also just let me know if there is anything broken/wrong, so I can fix it as soon as possible to ensure that you have a pleasant and safe time.

(Un)fortunately, the couple renting our house on a month-by-month basis are enjoying themselves and the house so much they want to extend their stay another 6 months through January 2016. We'd love to have you stay at our house in the future, and we hope you find something else suitable for your stay in Lake Tahoe.
Laurent and Josephine's house was wonderful! Everything was as advertised. The house was so nice that we didn't end of leaving it nearly as much as we had planned! The kitchen is large and well stocked with plenty of counter space allowing our group could prepare a variety of breakfast items at the same time. We spent a few hours lounging around the living room watching the world cup on the big TV. We also spent a lot of time on the porch which has a very nice, big table where we ate dinner, a grill that works very well, and a hot tub that was the perfect way to relax in the evenings.
Laurent was very helpful and responsive, even emailing me a few suggested hikes in the area. We got the keys and house instructions easily and the return envelope made it easy to send them back.
I would definitely recommend staying at this house!
We rented the house for a week, including forth of July.
The house is fully equipped, and the host thought of all our needs.
We had very good time.
The house is close to the kings beach,to supermarkert, main restaurants and coffee shops.
We absolutely LOVED our stay at Laurent and Josephine's. The location was perfect for our weekend of skiing and hanging out with friends- close to a grocery store, town of King's Beach, and the ski resorts. We skied at Alpine and Northstar over the weekend- the house was a great location for either, but Northstar is closer. The house definitely had the tahoe mountain lodge vibe- which was exactly what we wanted- warm, cozy, decorated nicely, and super clean. The living and dining rooms were really open with high ceilings so our group could easily all help with dinner, relax, etc without it feeling at all cramped (we only had 4 people but there was definitely enough room for more). The hot tub was a great addition to the house- and was really amazing after a long day on the slopes. Laurent was a super attentive host- sending detailed instructions prior to the trip, checking in before we left, and making himself available for a couple last minute questions I had while we were there. He was really easy to work with and we look forward to staying there again in the future.
What a wonderful home and fabulous hosts. They were easy to communicate with and went out if their way to make our stay comfortable. They even spent time decorating it for the holidays which was a nice touch. The house is warm and cozy and quiet yet only 5 minutes to skiing or kings beach or the regional park. Overall excellent location, beautiful home and wonderful hosts.
This house was perfect for a 3 night stay in Kings Beach. We had a group of 6 and there was plenty of room. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the location is very close to the Safeway and beach. The best part of the house is the deck, which includes a grill and hot tub. Obviously...our group spent most of the weekend on the deck and enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and beautiful stars.
As for logistics, this house is by far the most seamless I've rented through Airbnb. The host sent directions and keys very promptly. I received a few emails making sure I didn't have any remaining questions and he was always very polite.
If you have a group of 4-6 and are looking for a nice, reasonably priced house right in Kings Beach--I'd recommend this one.

About the Host, Laurent And Josephine
I have lived and traveled around the world my entire life due to my parents' work for UC Berkeley and then eventually for my own work/sports/family/vacation purposes, but our home has always been in Berkeley, which I adore. My father is French, thus I have a lot of family in France and return there often to spend time with them. I graduated from UC Berkeley and went on to get my MBA from USC, and have worked for UC Berkeley and the Berkeley-Haas School of Business for the last 10 years as a Director of Annual Giving. For fun, I continue to travel to new countries, drink wine, play soccer and field hockey, take photographs, and host friends.
I am married to Josephine (Josie), who like me was born in the Bay Area, but whose parents and family are from abroad (New Zealand). Josie works for a digital publishing software company in San Francisco.
