Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
Find your Peace in this cozy light filled studio in the treetops of the Siskiyou mountains. The studio is very private with views in every direction of trees, earth and sky (no other buildings in sight). You have direct access to trails leading to old growth forest and a refreshing year long creek. The studio space is an inspiration for artists and lovers of fine details. The kitchen meets all your basic culinary needs. Living room has cozy nooks. Bedroom upstairs has a comfy queen size bed.

The space
Enjoy the outdoor hot/cold shower with a wrap around bench with 360 views. Another option for purist guests is washing off in the secluded areas of the fresh invigorating creek... this is what what memories are made of. If temps drop below freezing we dismantled the outdoor shower and as a substitute we add a solar shower bladder that can be filled with hot water from the kitchen sink and brought to the shower deck. The mini split offers heating and cooling although the evening mountain air cools things down in the summer and the wood stove heats things up in the winter.

Guest access
Studio is self contained and private. Drive up past the main house and further up the steep hill to the Studio.

Other things to note
This is not your typical rental. It’s remote wild and beautiful. The studio offers comfort in the raw forest. No cell service but Wifi available in WiFi Zone (two lounge chairs and picnic table) just 300 feet from studio. In the name of sustainability there is a composting toilet available a short walk from the front door. There is a mirror at the bathroom. The gravel road up to the Studio is steep but any type of car should be fine. Drive up the gravel road in a low gear and stay in established grooves. Guests should be ages 10 and up due to stair system in studio. For privacy purposes no drone flying. No shooting guns or hunting. Strict with no check ins / initial arrival after 8pm as it’s a working farm (early to rise). Other nights guests are welcome to come and go as they please. Thanks
