Just as Valldemossa, only without tourism ....
A hidden, wonderfully beautiful mountain village as Mancor de la Vall is hard to find in Mallorca. As the name implies, the site lies in a valley on the eastern foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range and is not as good as the outside of cost. With one exception: from the local convent of Santa Llúcia mountain, perched high above the village, a wonderful view over the island is possible by just walking a little until the convent.
Mancor is a center for hunters. No wonder many in the mountain forest in the back. Soon the hunt will start with throttle system. Otherwise, hares, partridges and mountain goats are shot. Also, mushroom pickers start their tours often Mancor.
Inca city is next to Palma and Manacor ,is the third largest city of the island and is located about 4-5 kilometers away from Mancor.
For shopping there is a supermarket, a kiosk with international newspapers, a couple of bar's, restaurants, Saturday morning market...
The home itself is quite nice, although we had some issues during our stay. The water was shut off the first night, so we did not have any water for the taps/showering, and then the power went out the following night. In addition, we discussed with the owner of the house for returning the last night to us, who agreed, and we left a day early. However, the returning of that last night was not accommodated by our host.
The home is nice, but I had sent some text messages to the host that were not returned, which I thought the communication could have been handled better.
Recommend the house, and good location, but caution with dealing with host.
