Welcome to Old Soul Camp. This is Beatrice. She is a charming, retro camper that makes the perfect getaway to refresh your old soul. Fully furnished with eclectic vintage modern comfort, so all you have to do is show up to fill your cup. She also includes access to our kayaks, fishing poles and a paddleboat. Beatrice is nestled underneath mature trees and string lights, and just steps away from the quiet and beautiful Fox Lake at Caven’s Landing Campground and all the wildlife that lives there.

The space
Bea offers a comfy queen mattress with a 2" memory foam bed topper in her perfectly tiny bedroom with a sliding door. The “cool” Scandinavian style duvet (we don’t do old fashioned flat sheets here, and yes, they do make duvets for different temperatures…isn’t that cool?!…literally!) is topped with no shortage of bed pillows ready for your weary heads after a good day under the sun on the lake this charming camper sits just steps away from....

Fox Lake in rural Southwest Minnesota.
Wait?... Were you just about to ask about the fishing here and if you could bring a boat? ....oh yeah, I'm getting there... but first...

The dining table with a booth and two stools makes a perfect spot for old fashioned style games, art, writing, reading, coloring, dining and of course, working on a laptop, because who wouldn't want a corner office with a view?!

The tiny (but efficient!) bathroom is sufficient for your bathing and p**ping needs in the great outdoors! Oh, and it's cute.

We stock Bea's bathroom with the following:

+ Bath Towels for each confirmed guest
+ Wash Cloths for each confirmed guest
+ Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash
+Complimentary tin of 8-10 "one use" locally made bar soaps from
Just Good Farms, Mountain Lake, Minn.
+Clothes Steamer
+Disinfectant Wipes
+At minimum 3 rolls of toilet paper (also depending on length of stay).

The kitchen has a refrigerator and small freezer, along with a propane gas stove with 4 small burners, and a small oven that fits a good 'ol frozen pizza perfectly : ) But why bother with that when there is a microwave, or a campfire, or a charcoal grill to pick from as well! Toaster, dishes like plates and a couple bowls, cups, eating utensils and basic kitchen utensils, along with a couple small serving trays are included. A small and medium sized sauce pan and small baking sheet. We also have a few individual condiments available, such as peanut butter packets, jelly packets, butter pads, cooking oil, sugar and sugar sub packets, coffee non dairy creamer cups.

**psst...we'll even prestock the fridge and pantry for you before you arrive if you'd like because we take our jobs as an old-soul-kinda host very seriously.
+Additional fees will apply. Details sent after confirmed reservation.
+Launching pre stocked pantry feature by June 20th, 2022

Where you’ll be

Sherburn, Minnesota, United States

Located just a mile off Interstate 90, it's the perfect location to find respite during your journey or to find a remote office under the stars. This quaint and quiet campground is nothing sort of complete solace. Southwest Minnesota is often known as drive through country, but we have the most inviting lakes that reflect the southern rural skies, and our many docks give you a front row seat to this wonderous great blue planet. Campfires are a must (as long as it isn't windy-you'll quickly notice all the wind turbines in the area) because they come with s'mores. Residential houses located across the lake, so you'll always feel safe, but far enough away to feel "nowhere". Oh, and did I mention nothing that lives in the great outdoors here in southern Minnesota can kill you?! Yup, no bears, no alligators or scorpions, just those pesky mosquitos, Canadian geese, and field mice (and they just want to be friends).
