Nice flat in a historical building in Taksim Area with air-con.

The Space

This modern two bedroom apartment is centrally located in the city center (Taksim). The flat is on the top floor of a historical building and has a lovely teras with wonderful view of Istanbul. It is just 4 mins from Istiklal caddesi away where you can find art galleries, cinemas, shopping stores, restaurants, bars etc. The street leads into the Taksim Square, which is a transportation hub for metro, bus, airport buses. It is a very safe and quite street with a lot of antique and design shops.

The apartment accommodates up to 6 people. There is a natural gas combi heating system for heating and hot water. Wireless internet access, satellite TV and a fully equipped kitchen are available. There is also a washing machine and a hair dryer and aircondition klima for the hot days. The flat has two bedrooms. A double bed and one single bed in one room and a double bed in the other one. There is a sleeping couch in the living room on which two people can sleep.

  • I can quote an earlier assessment: "Great appartement! Great host! Would love to rent this place again."

... So, many thanks to Cengiz! Visitting Istanbul is great anyway. Staying at this apartment makes it even greater!

  • We were 5 days in Istanbul and we had a very, very nice flat, with a greatful roof- terrace and a wonderful view. Everything was great.
Just the 94 steps to the flat were quite hard.
Unfortunately was ist raining most of the time and we could'nt use the terrace.
Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time in Istanbul an we will come back, if we can.
The apartment is very centrally located and Galatasary is really nice.
You get all what you want. The flat was clean and big enough for four ore fife people. The rate was realy good for this apartment.
Special thanks also to our hosts Cengiz. He is a very nice and friendley person.
He helps you where he can and erverything ist very uncomlicated.
Thank you Cengiz. We hope you had a nice time in Munich.
    Many greetings,

  • Cengiz flat is amazing! What else can I say… communication was excellent, Cengiz (email hidden) and was super helpful. The location is perfect as well, the street is quiet but very close to shops/bars/restaurants. I will definitely be back, it was an amazing experience! Thanks a lot for everything!

  • Lovely flat in probably one of the best areas of Istanbul. You find everything you need within 5-10 min walk. Taksim, restaurants, carrefour, espresso/tea bars, shopping, istanbul modern, metro and an excellent hammam. Tired of climbing: pick a taxi for 5tr to the top (e.g. taksim) and walk the last meters down to the flat.

10 min. by metro you find all the most exciting tourist attractions: bosporus cruises, hagia sofia, topkapi palace, sultan ahmed mosque, grand and egypt bazar.

Cengiz was an excellent host, organizing even our taxi drive to the flat. Even the 5th floor wasn't that challenging at the end.

  • Great location, very pleasant area, possibly the best spot where you want to be - close to everything: Taksim and Istikal, tram, etc. The house is nice, 5th floor (no elevator), with a small terrace, and very usable. Definitely I would reccomend it!
Cengiz was very kind and helpful, and he did more than he had to in order to deliver the best possible experience.

  • The flat was perfect! Well located in an interesting and quiet neighborhood. Close to many restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. The place is spacious, clean, comfortable, well heated and we loved the terrace. There is a nice view from there. Having the wifi was convenient and Cengiz was very helpful in providing useful tips. We sent Cengiz a text message the nigt before we left and he was able to order us a cab. Enjoy!

  • Cengiz was more than helpful before and at our arrival. He even gave directions to the taxi driver on how to get to the flat. Which is a little removed (making it really nice and quiet). I loved the balcony and view. It (email hidden) to come back to after seeing the sights and well positioned to see the main tourist attractions as well as many surprise antique and vintage shops along the way. Even the 4 story walk up to the apartment was well worth it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there was no hot water for showers. The sinks would have hot water on and off. Also two chairs broke and several light bulbs were burnt out. A few replacements would do the trick. (email hidden), in a unique location, (email hidden).
