A place guests keep coming back to

Guests describe it as peaceful and private, with many returning for a second or third visit
Come unwind at the Retreat at August Ciderhouse on the Kitsap Peninsula. This newly renovated house with attached barn is 2 acres of rural, easy to access bliss. Enjoy some downtime in the adirondacks, have happy hour in the barn, or snuggle up for a movie night - it's all waiting for you.

Make this farmstay your homebase to explore Western Washington - the ferries to Seattle and Edmonds are just a mile away, and the Olympic Peninsula and many state parks are within a 20 minute drive.

The space
The entire house was recently renovated. This is not a primary residence and the entire space is just for you - so no weird surprises behind these closet doors! Unfortunately due to a severe owner allergy, we are not able to accommodate service animals.

The king and queen bedrooms have new mattresses.

The well equipped kitchen is ready for you to cook at your leisure. We've provided everything you should need to feel right at home. Dine at the 6 person kitchen table or the farm table in the barn.

Enjoy a cozy night in watching Netflix or Prime upstairs in the loft - Roku guest access is provided for you to link to your own streaming accounts. The kids will enjoy watching from the nook behind the sectional.

The barn is a beautiful enclosed outdoor space and the entire first floor of the barn is available for your use. It's perfect for meals, games, and lounging when the weather permits.

Relax outside soaking up the idyllic scenery from the adirondacks on the lawn and pick blackberries in the summertime (typically starting in late July).

Extra Perks:

- Easy keyless/contactless check in. We'll provide you with a unique, secure code to access the house on the day of your arrival.

- Free Wifi - speeds over 100 gbps

- Guest passes are available for purchase at The Yard Fitness Club at the bottom of the hill (3 minute drive). Current rates are $15/day, and $35/week. Contact the front desk for most up to date information.

- Portable Bose bluetooth speaker

- Washer and Dryer

- Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash

- Kitchen basics: Olive oil, salt/pepper, spices, baking soda/powder

- Greengard Certified mattresses

- Family-friendly: outlet covers abound, and the bonus room off the master bedroom is a great area for letting the littles sleep (it's windowless, so no blackout curtains necessary). High chair, small stool, wooden toys, board books available. There’s some wiggle room on the occupancy for children just let us know ahead of time.

From the host

We're located in a rural neighborhood just up the hill from downtown Kingston and the waterfront. The area is quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive (or bike ride) to restaurants, coffee shops, marina, and parks.

Wildlife abounds - we frequently see deer, eagles and hawks, rabbits, and coyote around the property.
